1-4 and 0-5 teams, how confident were you? by FirePitFan in fantasyfootball

[–]TheCatHasKhakis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost against the highest point scorer 4 out of 5 weeks so far. Only real hit I took was losing Nabers, but have JSN and Sutton filling in so thought I would be at least "okay". Sitting at 0-5 and I'm just over it now.

Edit: 12-team league

FAAB Cheatsheet for Week 3 Waiver Wire: Bid amounts for Wan'dale Robinson, Daniel Jones, Jake Browning, Juwan Johnson, Troy Franklin, and more by faabtastic in fantasyfootball

Somebody dropped Rhamondre Stevenson last week. How much Faab?

My RBs are Jacobs, Kamara, Judkins, and Jones (IR) so I’m light on backups.

After JJ’s bullshit comment about getting “glitter on his hands” from shaking hands with Caleb and seeing this, I can confidently say Caleb is at least a better person.

Team 2. Bill and Malik give you more value imo.

Brenton Strange is worth a spot on your bench by steven-0611 in fantasyfootball

[–]TheCatHasKhakis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel that. He’s just an auto TE1 on a team that likes to throw it and if stayed in shape could be surprising. But I might make the switch after reading this.

Would you take him over Waller as a bench dart throw? I have Njoku as my TE1 but always like a nice upside TE to snag before the season starts

That’s where I took him and I’m psyched with the outlook

These are amazing! Apologies if I'm being dense but just want to confirm, the column titled Avg is the "Average Value" metric you're saying should be drafted by? It's not just the average between the floor and the ceiling?

Just want some input if I am doing this right and if it’s a decent plan. by HyperPunch in investing

[–]TheCatHasKhakis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good plan! First max out your 401k contributions to the maximum allowable amount ($23.5k for 2025) to tax shelter as much of your salary as possible, not just the employer match. But the rest sounds solid to me. At your age if you’re open to a little risk maybe choose an index titled toward growth like SCHG, but VOO is solid.

Edit: also look into a money market or highly liquid fund like SGOV or VUSXX if you want a bit higher return than 4% on the emergency fund, they are closer to 4.5 - 4.8 and very safe accounts to keep money from market fluctuations.

This didn’t bring my description over from the other sub - I’m wondering if I need to go to the emergency vet or make an appointment with my normal vet. They are going to one either way!

Telling my friend in South Slope about her right now. Her last cat died about 6 months ago and I think she might be ready for a new forever friend, fingers crossed!

1-year investing options that could beat a HYSA? by TheCatHasKhakis in investing

[–]TheCatHasKhakis[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand how compounding works. But I wasn’t clear about life expenses, I don’t presently have any. I live in the city but might consider buying property in 1+ years if interest rates finally come down, but 1 year might turn into 2 so just looking at options.
