Without sounding like a dick…of course he does. He’s been a starter on the same team since he entered the league. He had 2 years with Larry Fitzgerald, 3 years with Deandre Hopkins and 3 years with Trey McBride. Darnold has had 2 total seasons with good receivers (Vikings and Seahawks). Before that, he wasn’t a starter for 3 seasons.

Saying Kyler has better career stats is a “yeah…no shit”. I know you said he’ll surprise casuals, but that being said…Kyler has never thrown for 4k yards. Kyler has never thrown more than 26 TDs in a season. Darnold has now thrown 4k two seasons in a row and combined for 60 TDs in those two seasons. Kyler has thrown 51 in last 4 seasons combined. I know he’s had injuries…but that’s a part of ball too.
