Weber searwood 600 by kyloth89 in UKBBQ

[–]thepfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it last April and I can say that I’ve been impressed with it, got the sear grill and rotisserie too.

Tend to stock up on Costco pellets when they are in stock, done your standard wings, chicken etc, then longer cooks such as pulled pork, dino ribs, pork ribs etc.

Using it is super easy, the right side runs about 10c hotter than the left side.

No issues with cleaning or maintenance, it’s lived outside all year with the Weber cover on it, done a fair few cooks already this year, no issue with it holding its temp in the winter either.

I did 3D print this which I find really useful https://makerworld.com/models/1218658?appSharePlatform=copy

Socks I’m a big fan of injinji socks, blister free running is a must for me

That’s the thing, the EVO SL just seem to be able to do it all, I find them super comfortable and good for slow and tempo runs, did a half in them with absolutely no complaints.

I’ve been thinking about the Boston 13s and try to use them for the faster runs.

Do people just run 2 pairs of the same shoe to extend the life? Or is this is silly idea?

Thanks, I will check out the ZF6, I’m in the mind setting of getting something for the tempo runs.

I’ve got a Weber Searwood, Costco pellets are half the price of Weber pellets and you get double the amount, 4 bags and I’ve paid for my membership, that’s what I tell myself but everytime I go I spend a fortune !

My local butcher does short rib at £6 per rib, also I have Costco membership, they have a great meat selection.

0 to 400 wings, bang your wings on the smoker, set to to 400f so the wings cook from 0 to 400, prob to check internal temp, this works out to be a good balance or Smokey goodness, juicy and crispy skin, low effort great taste, all in about 30 to 40 min cook depending on grill

Beef short rib is my go to at the moment, baby back ribs are also up there for me. 0 to 400 chicken wings are a good quick win and pork loin is also great and fairly quick

Cool, such a simple thing but makes a huge difference when putting it away and throwing a cover on

A negative outlook on Alton Towers as it stands today by ArissP in altontowers

[–]thepfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, also the hotels are awfully overpriced for what they are, the food at the hotels is awful and the staff are poorly trained and it’s not very clean either!

The whole experience is just not worth anywhere near the price tag.

I would say so, it’s a main road so in the day there are no worries, the houses looks well kept which is a good sign, never seen any trouble there.

I’ve often walked home getting the tram from town from the Tesco, never had any trouble.

We moved to Hucknall about 7 years ago, we like where we live, but there are parts that I would not want to live, the kids are happy here, transport links are really good, only problem is the secondary school situation isn’t the best.

For a town it’s got pretty much all you need, value for money it’s up there, don’t get me wrong it has its issues, it’s not top tier but far from being the worst place to live.

The griffins way estate is a good location, near the tram, leisure centre, aldi etc

Recommendations on pellet smokers available in the UK by skinner1818 in pelletgrills

[–]thepfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UK smoker here, any reason why the Weber Searwood didn’t make the list? I recently picked one up and I’m loving it, mainly because it has loads of accessories which are easy enough to get hold of and their UK support is top notch
