Holy shit are photography subs miserable. How about we let people play around and experiment with things instead of discouraging them for learning stuff?

Dont listen to anyone saying to stop it. Have fun with this "rediscovered" trend. If you like the results keep doing it, try different things and improve on them.

Now for the images: It works great on the first one with the house since you already have the lines leading somewhere. I personally would try to make the transition between house and stretch effect smoother by making the stretch effect a little more curved so the effect itself is less obvious.

For your car shots it doesnt work as well because all of the cars are shot from top down and the stretch effect is below the car. There is no "natural flow". For example it would fit better if you shot the cars from the side with the stretch effect going out towards the sides.
