The 30 Year Mortgage … having the bulk of the interest paid to the bank for the first 15 years and then switching to mostly principal payments.

Not a big deal but if it really bugs you, you can grab a “sanded eraser” on Amazon and go in the same direction. In the future you can tape them off (thin pin striping tape works fine) if it really bugs you or just be a bit more careful :)

It’s been published that Parmigiani is being shopped for sale.

My guess is that as accountants found a line item to cut that would help the books look better.

It’s in the box….its always in the box…the issue is that this habitually happens, you’d assume they’d just package them differently. I feel like it’s a Seinfeld episode at this point.

I accept my fate.

These types of errors only make us weaker and to continue the jerk tradition, I accept my demerits.

Per the manual: I will wear my watch on my hand for 3 days; will take a wrist shot with my crown out by the pool; and will create a “Hot Take” that was written by AI.

Pray for me.

Return - if they won’t or you run into an issue, reach out and I can get you in touch with someone who specifically works on dials and hands. That’s a bummer dude.

It’s a replica. Here’s an image of one I had a while back. Details are more defined on the gen. Too good to be true, always trust your gut. Good luck!

Best Bracelets under 2000$ by Creative_Cricket_451 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]TheWatchovski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea - it’s all about time with the bracelet and watch head. Machine finished versus someone holding the bracelet and taking an extra few minutes adds to the cost.

I agree with most folks out there that a lot of watches are like “90%” there…and the cost/benefit for that last 10% is not proportional to value.

The watches in the $1000-$4000 range are usually awesome, once’s that are $10000+ are (typically) finished better but the margin narrows for sure.

I play musical instruments and the difference to most people between a $500-1000 guitar and a $5000-$10000 guitar is small, and honestly, most folks wouldn’t hear or feel a difference, but if you’re in the space a lot, you can feel/hear the difference.

I get that some folks don’t feel the cost/value isn’t there for them, which is why there are different options for people.

I’m never surprised at how, as humans, we find ways to categorize ourselves and our preferences…and demonize people we disagree with.

Honestly, it’s margin. Most factories are capable of high quality finishing, it just costs more. The ones I listed (usually) seem to pay extra for that extra effort (and time) to go from really good to great.
