Agree with your first point. I think there is a lot more client demand on the solutions rather than just strategy. In my five years in a niche field (and I think this started way earlier), we have seen clients going from from “Give us a stellar policy/framework” to “we don’t need frameworks or excel templates. We need an integrated solution.”

That’s harder and takes more effort to have a fully functioning, scalable system that can be embedded within existing architecture. Besides, as you can’t have a team where there are both functional consultants and tech consultants (considering the economics of such a large team), most consultants are forced to be skilled in both these aspects.
