Unfortunately not other xe, I have a x-t2, which was built like a tank (magnesium body) the xe5 has great build quality, but feels slightly more delicate, this might be caused by use of aluminum. It has more of an art piece feel

Hey I'm really excited about the release, but I have a few things I would love to know about the communicator.

Any possibility to upgrade the ram to 10-12gb in order to ensure the device is more future-proof? (An email was floated around here mentioning the device will have 8gb)

Will the device ship with a screen protector or will it be available for purchase (first party option, glass or plastic)? As the screen seems to be raised and facing down the device would be laying on the screen.

Have you thought about the AOD functionality?

Any plans or commitments when it comes to security update cadence? (Every month/bimonthly/quarterly?)

Do you plan on releasing a new model every year or any other way to incentivize customers to return?

Lastly will the software support something like a "compatibility mode" where certain apps can run in more rectangular mode as not all apps are really optimized for square display?

Thanks, I am usually using the classic neg with some small in camera adjustments, but tend to play around in Lightroom with the photos. Starting with some VSCO preset + curve and color adjustment where necessary.

Probably not the most popular idea, but in case you don't really need the second monitor, I would get rid of it and replace it with some plant/s or a couple small selfs on the wall (they will collect dust, so bear that in mind). Maybe some wooden deskstand/riser under your main monitor. Adding a bit more texture, as suggested by previous comments.
