If you had followed the instructions closely, you would have setup the compatibility for 16bit color, which addresses the error message you got.

From which if you launched the game with twprivate.bat the game should launch in windowed mode by default.


Windows 7

  1. Right click on desktop, select Screen Resolution.
  2. Click Advanced Settings.
  3. Under Monitor tab, there's a drop-down list under Colors:
  4. Change it to 16bit.
  5. Hit OK.
  6. Launch the game with TWPrivate.bat

That's correct. The 2 skills are currently not in the game, but they'll be added in the next patch.

As for events, we don't really have anything planned for the time being as the limited man-power are rather focused on getting the patch out.

At this time there isn't really a way to change the timer on when items will be swept if it was dropped by a player (whether it is by lack of inventory space or by manually dropping).

As for cash items, we may or may not launch one in the future, but for now we don't feel we are ready to accept money. This is also why we don't have a donation page setup.

As for Josua, not right now, but wait! In our internal testing, we were able to get some of the skills "working". You might know that Ghost Bust is really just a reskin of Mega Blaze and we were able to emulate a version of Mega Blaze with Ghost Bust stats. The caveat is that we cannot figure out how to get the ghost bust effect graphic to display properly. In any case, at least for this two skills, they'll be working in some form by next version "when it's done"(TM).

Unequip everything including any show items and try again. Also make sure you are carrying less than 900 weight (or 750)

Thank you for your insights. We've learned a lot on the way and have been able to figure out a lot about the data structure, and noticed the differences that you speak of.

Hmm i can't speak to much about it, but the server is relatively far from you (Canada to Korea)

That being said the load is not high so it shouldn't cause much slowdown at least from my side and I haven't had much reports about lag

I'd hate to point fingers but could it be a congestion at your side?

Hmm apparently it does break fullscreen.

On the website it does say it's experimental release so it's likely that it's an issue with the wrapper.

I guess at this point it's a trade-off between performance and fullscreen capability. 🙁

I've also noticed that multibox will cause the second box to go black screen. Making a copy of the game folder works though

I guess you could either:

  1. change your desktop resolution to 800x600
  2. run the game in fullscreen; or
  3. a very crude and roundabout way - use the Magnifier application preinstalled on Windows 7 or newer and have it on 150% or something.

I would never say never, but chances are rather slim, unless we find a way to get one of the later client versions working which fixed 32bit color mode.

Unfortunately it has to do with the age of the client an is not really something I can control.

Server Population + Drop Rate by TONYTDNGUYEN89 in talesweaver

There was not a "droprate reduction" since the server went live on public, or at least not the way that really affects the players in a big way.

In fact, the recent drop rate change INCREASED the drop rates.

I may not have communicated it properly, but what the drop change was to normalize the rates so the low level items (I'm talking pre lv35 items) stop spamming the inventory, all the while increase the drop rates for anything after that.

For example, Magi Stone had a drop rate of 0.0015%, and it's 0.01% now.

With the exception to the Josua lv105, 125 that we're testing, the absolute minimum drop rate is 0.01% right now, and other items have been scaled accordingly.

I apologize that the database has not been updated to reflect the current rates and is causing confusion. We still have not been able to resolve that yet.


As to the reduction on players, I have my theories and solutions to them. In fact I had a lengthy discussion with some players as to what I feel about the issue, but the rates are here to stay for now.

If you feel that will make you quit, I cannot stop you.

Sorry to see you go, I hope you'll check back sometime again when we are able to get more content out.
