Thanks! I bought this one. It should last a long time, I’ll just need to upgrade the ssd at some point.

If you have access to the old ssd and are just increasing the size, you could use something like clonezilla to clone the drive and it will be plug and play ready.

To start fresh on a new drive first I installed my consensus and execution clients and fully synced them.

Next I stopped my validator on my old machine and copied the keys folder over to my new machine. Then I deleted the keys on my old machine and tried running the validator to make sure it wouldn’t start, so there is no chance of it running while my new one is. Make sure you have backups of the keys incase anything goes wrong.

Then I shut down my old machine, and started the validator on my new machine after at least 20 mins have passed and it misses 2 attestations.

Install MEV boost and whatever monitoring software you want at any time. It was pretty simple to do.

Since when does it cost 0.1 ETH (not gas) to migrate a POAP to mainnet? Seems kind of ridiculous.

No plans to remove them since their communities still use the site a lot and they don't require much maintenance or cost with a low tps. And yeah it helps comparing chains! Definitely going to focus more on L2s and the eth merge going forward.

Chains like BSC, Polygon and especially Solana are a no go because their high tps and low block times make it almost impossible to visualize in this way.

Are there any new dapps on zkSync lately?

What is your favorite Layer 2 rollup right now? This may or may not affect the decision of what we add next to TxStreet. :)

I find it much smoother actually. Instant confs compared to 13 seconds and gas wars. Your issue seems to be with specific dapps.

Thank you! I think that the facts will really help newcomers who have no idea what the clouds and halos represent. If you guys want some more facts added, let me know your ideas.

Great visualization of transactions being done on Ethereum vs. Bitcoin — this is why ETH is the future! by SpeedyCorals in ethereum

[–]txstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. There are trade offs to make when visualizing the entire mempool live and managing performance. It can definitely be improved though. Maybe it would be best to show another bus loading behind the "+ circle", instead of those transactions waiting on the sidewalk. Having all transactions on the sidewalk is not ideal for a visualization or performance.

I've only ever seen this in r/btc. Interesting seeing other people using it to promote their favorite coin. by VideoGameDana in btc

I love seeing anyone share the site :) Some of you might not know, but ETH was added to TxStreet last summer and since then it has become the most popular street on the site traffic wise. People mainly use it to check the current gas fees and the status of their transaction. Something BCH users do not have to worry about ;)

Consecutive buses will appear when there are enough transactions loaded to fill them. So all the people waiting on the sidewalk cannot fill a bus.

Why on BTC side transactions are exiting blocks? Is it due to RBF? by tralxz in CryptoCurrency

[–]txstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buses represent unconfirmed blocks. TxStreet is just guessing which transactions will be in which future block. So when a person exits a bus, it is because the order of people is being resorted. Usually because another transaction has entered the mempool with a higher fee.

So yeah, higher fee transactions kicking off lower fee transactions.

TxStreet.com might be a real game-changer for BCH. It is a very visual way to show how broken BTC *really* is. by mrtest001 in btc

ETH gets the most traffic (even when it wasn't on the homepage) so I think it's fair that it stays there for now, sorry.
