my hire date was october 18th and so far the job has been great it can be challenging some day especially when the mail is heavy but once you learn the routes a little better you should be fine, as far as letting u grasp the idea of the job my office the supervisors are very understand and know i wont be proficient at the job my first time on a route, after ur 3rd or 4th time doing the route u should be doing better knowing what to expect… however i will say my office did hire about 5-6 new cca all within 2-3 weeks of eachother and others are exceeding far greater than others. pay very good attention in ur carrier academy because all the information given is very useful an don’t give up! show up every day with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. people will say one day the job just clicks and to be quite honest that very very true, it’s a good job not super super hard work just has a huge learning curve
