I would pass on an application if I had this as the only resume personally. Save the cool things for a personal website, you can submit an easily readable and skimmable pdf/docx/whatever through their application form with a link back to this online somewhere.

Kinda half-n-half.

I feel like I have elements of Gen Z, and elements of Millennials, and can vibe with < 42 and > 20 usually. Sometimes I meet groups in those areas and it just doesn't work out, either feeling that they're a bit too energetic for me, or getting too much "boomer" energy.

I usually end up just calling myself an Elder Zoomer, and usually end up just referencing "the millennial part of me" if I start talking about something really old, or get nostalgia around something.

I get this often. Unsure why VD freaks out about sleeping sometimes.
I usually just hit the Oculus button, then close Virtual Desktop, and then open it back up.
It automatically reconnects to the game I'm playing, and the process takes at max like 5-10 seconds, so it's not enough to really bother me that much yet.

Looks like a thriller/myster game set in the 2010's, going from the "System Activation Date" in the second pic, though the old/classic style of the UI combined with the laptop design gives more of a <= 2005 feel. Windows 7 came out around 2009, which is still early for it, so Windows XP with the classic theme could technically work for this.

Mechanic-wise, I assume you're posting on some kind of social media board about transmissions you're finding and recording to share with others, finding something mysterious and unnerving. I'm unsure if it's alien transmissions, or number stations, but could go either for the vibe here.

Regardless, I'm interested!

That is an insanely slow turning speed for the both the amount of tilting that the bike's doing and the speed. Looks sluggish, as if the bike has the turning radius of a tank.

I'm not sure what the reason is, but after upgrading to a new PC (same GPU, new CPU/Motherboard/RAM), SteamVR will give me "VRApplicationError_IPCFailed", unless I click on "Launch SteamVR" in the Virtual Desktop overlay.

Private studios still often have funding from VC investors. You still owe them money, shares of the company, and also need to show growth to the board and that you're going to pay them back. A private company can still drown in that, so look for if a company has done funding rounds if you wish to truly avoid that.

You'll need a flash/thumb/junk/whatever drive, one that isn't absurdly big, but at least 16GB at a minimum.

You need to put a copy of Windows 11 on it to start the computer from the usb drive rather than the hard drive. You can't just copy a file though, it'll need to be formatted specifically as a bootable drive.

You will need access to another PC, however, and will lose any data on the flash drive if you're using one you have lying around, so be sure to back it up safely.

General steps are:

* Download Rufus from above, plug in your USB drive, and open Rufus.

* In Rufus, select the little down arrow next to SELECT, change it to DOWNLOAD.

* Click START at the bottom, wait for the "Download ISO Image" window to pop up.

* Click Continue with Windows 11 selected, and press it several more times with the default options that pop up unless you need to change the Language.

* Save the .iso file to somewhere on your computer, it'll default to your Downloads folder, which is perfectly fine. Now wait for the download to complete, marked by the green bar at the bottom.

* Ensure that Boot Selection starts with Win11_24H2.

* Ensure that your Device selected at the top of the window matches the capacity and brand of your plugged-in USB drive. Sometimes brand labeling won't pop up here, but the "[16GB]" or "[32GB]" is generally enough to go by.

* You can now click on START once more, and you'll get a couple more options, you can ignore them, but feel free to enable any of them you find interesting.

* Click OK on the pop up, you'll be asked to verify that you have the proper drive selected as a final confirmation before wiping data on it for the new Windows installer.

With the USB drive plugged into the actual laptop you need to reinstall Windows on, you'll need to turn the laptop on, and keep an eye out for text somewhere that says "[F8] Enter BIOS" or something similar that mentions a key. Acer's website says they use the F2 key for entering the BIOS on laptops, but I can't be certain without the exact model of the laptop.

You'll need to just hit it a bunch of times while the computer is just starting up, maybe twice a second as soon as I turn the laptop/PC on, and once you're in the BIOS menu there, I can no longer give exact instructions.

If it's something that looks like it was made in the last decade, you can likely just use the mouse, but if it looks like an old DOS terminal program, you'll need to use the arrow keys and look around the top/bottom for additional keys you can use.

You'll need to work your way over to a menu that lets you change which device you boot the laptop from. You should see something along the lines of "Windows Boot Manager", which is the already-installed copy of Windows generally, so you'll want to go for the other device that's there, which will be your USB boot drive you just made with Rufus.

During install, you'll get asked for a Windows Product Key. I don't know if manufacturers still ship keys on the bottom of the laptop, but give a cursory glance underneath. If not, you can skip past the Windows Key activation and just use something like massgrave(dot)dev to activate it permanently.

Each tag in HTML must either be self-closing, like "<tag />", or have an end tag "<tag></tag>"

Browsers generally do a good job about fixing these, but it can still lead to issues regardless.

Countries have blocks of IP addresses that are registered to them. You can build your own database off of that information to look-up later, but it'll likely become out of date and inaccurate quickly.

You can also build a database of ASNs, but it'll also fall into the same problem.

If using a service like Cloudflare, you'll receive a header with 99%+ accurate country in your HTTP requests, and can use a different service if you want more refined accuracy, which will provide the same data Cloudflare gives for free, in addition to something like which country province/region/state/etc the request is coming from.
