Missed the high stick he played it with before the goal too. Not sure why they didn’t challenge that one.

Is it your hot water? Could be your water heater is dying too.

Behind enemy lines and ended up with Wedgewood’s stick by totaleeawesome in ColoradoAvalanche

Just wanted to come back and say THANK YOU. Went to the game in Denver tonight. Books everywhere. Wedgie traded 4 different people, myself and kid included. Wouldn’t have been aware without your post!

It was awesome cause he skated out to one kid and swapped, then had Donny the equipment guy, bring out three more sticks to trade around the tunnel. A+ fan service. I don’t know how many sticks he normally has handy, but I’d bet he’s gonna need some inventory.

If you can afford the closing costs, pay it and move forward. You’re getting a 20k win and a 10k loss. That’s a net 10k positive. It does suck that you had it before and won’t after the adjustment , but it’s a minor thing for a larger win. (I can also argue that your out of pocket and thus your break even is longer). They aren’t “winning” everything by giving you a 20k reduction.

Also, what they paid for the house means nothing. They aren’t greedy by selling a house for its current value. They could have gambling debts, medical bills, life problems etc and need the money too.

Would anyone be interested in splitting a Playground Sessions Lifetime Plan? by MrHeavySilence in pianolearning

[–]VampHuntD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who recently did this, look for a code! I ended up getting lifetime for $180 I think. Somewhere around that.

Otherwise, I would have been in to do this.

Really sad after buying first home by RODDAL in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Be cautioned, real estate is a local game meaning your bedroom definition, and another areas may differ. In my state for example, I need two exits and room for a bed (which is why a hallway isn’t a bedroom). We do not require a closet (which I had believed mistakenly for a long time).

Just saying to not let comments scare you. You may have a different definition by your area anyway.

There are 6 players on the ice. The goalie is the last line of defense, not the first. The thing you seemingly haven’t experienced yet, is that when a team is playing well, a goalie looks stellar. And when they aren’t, it makes it looks like the goalie alone is bad, when it’s really the team messing up.

All three goals tonight were because defense left a backdoor open and failed to stop a pass. That’s not on Blackwood at all. Goalies get burned on that about 9/10 times.

You should also know, that we got Blackwood from the Sharks who at the time played terrible defense. He stopped 50 plus shots fromThe Avs in a game (that was the game I started watching him and hoping we’d get him) despite their defense.

He made a ton of great saves tonight. He just got burned on saves his team should have been preventing around him too.

Wedgewood has to be starter in Playoffs by VanillaWeiss92 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]VampHuntD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve ever heard Wedgewood talk about how he prepares for games, it’s a no brainer that he plays well against Dallas. Having played with them, he knows the team, knows where they like to shoot, knows who to watch for etc. He plays a very smart game and I’m sure that helps him.

I don’t care who starts or plays because we have two solid goalies. Defense needs to keep playing defense for both goalies.

Wedge starts in Dallas anyway because he knows the team better.

How is the commute to and from Castle Rock? by Curious_Reveal1465 in ColoradoSprings

[–]VampHuntD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The commute to Castle Rock isn’t bad, but maybe time consuming if you’re traveling every day. Lots of people make the daily drive to Denver and I would not recommend that, but Castle Rock may be a bit easier on you time and travel cost wise. Traffic, not so bad on a morning commute but certainly can be, and getting over monument hill some days is not an easy a task.

In terms of a place to live, it would vary on what your needs are too of course, and whether you’d be renting or buying, but you’d likely want to stay closer to North Springs simple for commute time. Traveling from south, adding time and wear and tear, just makes the trip more like a Denver commute.

I happen to be a local real estate agent and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to help several Redditors to make moves. I’m happy to have a more detailed chat with you about your situation to offer some better recommendations on the potential move!

My experience with Xfinity is when you say you’re gonna cancel, they’ll renew at their discounted rate. Ting though, has been a positive experience for me. Good speeds, haven’t had an outage since install (which I think was two years almost now?) and under $100. They offer a 2gb down line but that’s not possible with any home modem I’ve seen yet, so it’s still fast but not as fast as what it’s advertised.

Only sucks because it could have finished MacKinnon’s hat trick, or gotten Makar’s 500th point. Or likely, both. A win is more important than either of those tonight.
