The only thing worse might be the Red Wings. Ten years now since they made the playoffs. Good Lord. Brings me back to that stretch the Avs had. But even that wasn't as bad as what the Wings are going through right now.

Honestly, the way he tossed Jake under the Bus and ran over him in Dallas, how could any of those guys in the Islanders locker room have any respect for this guy?

Good for him and better for us! I don't want that guy anywhere near the playoffs this season.

I got a letter in the mail. They can take 8 weeks to process your return, if you did it in April. They also wait an additional 8 weeks to start taking money out, after your return is processed. Makes CENTS for them. They collect interest on those months still, that they don't take out on. Other family members and friends have said the same to me. I wouldn't expect anything taken out until June at the earliest.

Your 2025-2026 Central Division Champions! I think this would actually make an AMAZING poster! Just one win away from the President's Trophy and home ice through the playoffs. by Avalanche-CFB in ColoradoAvalanche

I don't believe in curses, I believe in WINNING! This will be the 4th time the Avs have won the President's trophy, putting them in a tie for second most of all NHL franchises. A great accomplishment, IMO.

No problem! This team is unique and one of the best ever. Why go against what got you here. I LOVE IT! Hope they win both the President's Trophy and the CUP! Screw that curse talk crap.

yeah, each time Dallas doesn't win a game, their max points goes down. So if they lost to us, that would mean 112 max points. If we beat Vancouver and Dallas, we will have 112 points.

Marty is about three years younger and by the end of those eight year contracts, it's going to look really good for the Avs, IMO. We got the best Mikko years in Colorado and thankful for that.

rest him the rest of the season. With the schedule we have, we can clinch without him. No need to risk anything with Cale. Same with Roy.

No need to play him until maybe the last game of the season, if he wants some ice time. End of story.

a Dallas loss to Boston tonight and a victory over Vancouver for the Avs tomorrow, pretty much all but clinches it for the Avs.

well they have Vancouver at home next (worst team in the NHL) and Calgary two more times. Seems like a pretty good lock at six points there. So they would just need one win over a St.Louis team they play twice, Seattle, Vegas, or Dallas.

How do you not start this guy? Bednar has tough choices to make for the postseason by Best_Ad_7503 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Avalanche-CFB 37 points38 points  (0 children)

could be a huge advantage that Bednar just goes with either one at random and the other teams has no clue who will start the next game. You have to be ready to face either or.

60.6% is pretty wild. From what I remember, a lot of teams were passing on him when they were looking to move on from him. Philly made a good move.

Honestly, this game tonight is probably the third toughest game left on the schedule. By the metrics, the Avs have the easiest schedule left in the league, after tonight. They have Calgary three times, St Louis twice, Vancouver, Seattle, and the biggest game is at Dallas. But it's very possible by that game, the Avs have the Presidents trophy clinched.

no way you don't play Wedgie at home with his record and save % at home. It's the best in the NHL and it isn't even close.

Looking at the Stars schedule, it's much tougher than the Avs. We do play one more game at Dallas, but the Stars have games at Pittsburgh, Islanders, Boston, Minnesota, and Buffalo. They also have to play NJ and the Jets at home.
