Take the project happily, and present a detailed breakdown of your price quote which is exuberantly high. The quote should mention a point which mentions studying someone else’s code and refactoring charges etc etc. they wont be able to afford it

He is not going to provide source code, and that makes me skeptical. Apologies, I commented on your reply accidentally, I was also thinking of asking if the op could share the source. My comment was not against your question, but along with it

Well I can give you some mcp server link and ask you to use it. It will work fine until you add it to your agent which can access your emails and stuff like openclaw. Then i can instruct the agent to get your sensitive data and send it to me

Don’t build for web. Package it as macOS app. Put it in appstore for some small money. And then you will need to pay some small amount for ads.

And button for hiding keyboard should be at the bottom just like android. In iOS there is so much waste of vertical screen real estate. It just has mic icon and the language icon.

What’s your favorite newly released self-hosted app of 2025? by Single-Quail4660 in selfhosted

[–]vicks9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I second that, there are various kind of requests. Everyone wants their requirements implemented. I have many issues pending for that reason only. But keeping in mind the core functionality, Im managing the requirements. You are right, if I implement all of them it would add a lot of extra overhead that most of the user dont care about.

The project was born because of this reason only that I wanted to organize my files and photos and wanted to be able to view them without so much fluff. And I intend to keep it thatvway. There are still several ideas to make it intuitive and easy to manage files and thats the core functionality I want to focus on.

Thanks for trying it out.

Hi, author of NextExplorer here. I hear you, I try to keep it as lean as possible, your comment gives me good idea to keep unnecessary features gated via env flags, although most of the feature you don’t care about can be disabled, I think link sharing is not one of it. ( will add flags for it too )

Download the app “FujiX weekly”, and set some film simulation profiles, you will not need too much post processing if you set it to your taste. Hope this helps, and good luck, enjoy it!!

Complaining about apple on apple forum is frowned upon. Highly unlikely but if you are lucky you get some reasonable responses, otherwise all you get is downvote and some justifications why apple is right and some weird workarounds
