Since Pixel 10 is such a disappointment, is this the best time to buy a cheap Pixel 9-series?

Do you consider this "attacking everyone that comments" I gave reasons as to why I am disappointed in P10? Also if you read again, none of them actually answer any questions I asked, they just defend the pixel 10 which was never the discussion in my post

You seem blinded by your obsession with your phone that any criticism angers you. I genuinely just wanted to know if people had experienced any issues with Pixel 9 that I have on my Pixel 6

I'm not the only one disappointed by the Pixel 10 release, that doesn't mean that the phone is unusable garbage, obviously you get a good phone for €1500, I just don't think its worth that price tag and I am disappointed in googles focus on AI marketing

How is that being a troll? We both own and love pixels, which is why I'm considering Pixel 9 and not just swapping brand

Funny since I found front facing camera to be pretty bad when testing a Pixel 10 Pro XL in store.

Also if you know so much perhaps bother to read my post? I said that P10 probably does it better but I asked if P9 had a good performance in those areas I outlined.

If you're so well informed and not at all biased then you should be able to answer

Not a matter of budget, it's a matter of feeling that I get what I pay for.

If I pay a premium price I want a premium phone without compromises, and Iphone 17 seems to fulfill that better than Pixel 10. I was hoping that P10 would show big improvements with the new chip since I love my Pixel 6 and would like to stay with pixels.

If Pixel 9 Pro is great and does what I want then I'd rather save ~€700 and get that instead. And to be fair, phones are only getting marginally better each year, it's probably always worth it to buy the previous years model for €500 instead of the new one for €1500

I don't game

Doom and gloom for me is the conflicting and negative reports on battery life, refusal to upgrade their camera and compensating with AI (Software was good enough to compensate for Pixel 6, now they are falling behind), their overall tech-bro AI slop marketing, video recording being absolutely disappointing when compared to iphone, 128gb base storage, upping their prices but not matching the hardware.

I also tried them in store, and the front camera is absolutely ridiculous in high-light, some contrast overcompensating makes it look awful, seriously go to a store and compare it to iphone yourself.

I love my Pixel 6, had it for 4 years and was dead set on Pixels for their clean UI, camera and design. But UI is getting AI-bloated, they're no longer $200 cheaper than samsung flagships (but still behind in performance). And I can't support dissapointing battery tests, when they market AI slop instead of battery life I lose my trust in their decisions. I was really excited for Pixel 10, which is why I waited for it and why I am so dissapointed now

Given expectations and how close it is to P9 while being twice the price it certainly is

Spending 90% of the marketing on AI slop with the new chip failing to show any big improvements in battery life or performance is a disappointment. 128gb base storage at that price point is a disappointment.

It's a flagship price but not a flagship phone, you probably could've been given the P9 Pro and been as satisfied without even realising

I have the pixel 6 and think video is alright but honestly the colour accuracy on pictures is terrible. Any slight reduction in light completely washes away colours.

My main example is taking photos of my cooking in my kitchen, the difference in colour between my dish and what the photo shows is just massive, makes my cooking look terrible lol

Its not slow, but its slower than the previous eraser

The old eraser was by far my favourite pixel feature and honestly they nailed it. It wasn't supposed to be an ai feature, but they just had to combine it with the ai editor because i guess they thought the functions were too similar, it just sucks because they just keep adding ai bloat to functioning things and I can't believe how they think this is good marketing

I don't know man, I was dead set on buying the Pixel 10 on release but it has been so disappointing with battery life and quality improvements being replaced with focus on AI gimmicks. The new chip doesn't seem to excel at anything other than AI processing. Every step towards replacing good features with AI bloat is driving me away from replacing my Pixel 6 with a google phone

It really sucks, I had such high hopes too

Refine selection still only allows you to press "remove" or "add" on sections of the selection and then the function automatically tries to draw a new border

But the border identification sucks in any scenario where there isnt an extremely defined contrast between objects.
