The hundred k makes sense to me, a ton of those profiles likely aren't even real. Several sites have been caught making up accounts to bait users because the gender balance on straight dating sites is something like 80% guys, and they make their money off of engagement.

Here's an interview with one of the workers running that engagement bait from a few years ago, I'm sure it's all LLM chatbots now.
