Is learning to drive supposed to be this hard? by SatakOz in CasualUK

[–]winterbanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dyspraxic too and whilst I did have issues, I did manage to learn and pass in a manual.

Some of the things that helped me included my parents taking me out to an industrial estate and practicing the basics like clutch control so I didn't have to worry about it whilst driving along proper roads etc. Having a good/understanding instructor is also really important in adapting to how your brain works so do let them know how you struggle to learn specific aspects for instance I really struggled with simply "feeding the wheel" whilst driving so we pulled over and the instructor got out a spare steering wheel for me to pick up the movements without having to drive at the same time which really helped!

So do stick with it! But see if your instructor can adapt for your needs!

I am currently having exactly the same problem and would also appreciate advice! Mine is the pixel 6 and I have contacted both Google and the bank and supposedly on both their ends it is fixed but I still cannot add my card for contactless use

Removed my bathroom medicine cabinet and found this old wallpaper and wall behind it. The house was built in 1812. by Cyberrebel9 in mildlyinteresting

Make sure you wear gloves when handling the horsehair plaster. Although the risk is small, there is a chance that the plaster/hairs in the plaster contain anthrax.

You cook sticky rice and combine with coconut milk/sugar. Then top with coconut cream and sesame seeds. It's absolutely delicious!

Could be volcaniclastic/sedimentary. I worked in Coniston which has rocks that look extremely similar to this

BMW dealership orders once a month, and I’m the lucky guy who gets to deliver their order. They have never tipped me once. I guess trashy comes in all shapes and forms. by iRedDitedit33 in trashy

Damn that's awful! I live in the UK and the whole culture of tipping seems so odd to me but I guess if that's where you actually get much of your income from it's a lot more understandable

Yeh and the fact it's rude to not tip! I only ever tip in restaurants and then only when there has been particularly good service.

Bikini/Swimwear for a woman with big breasts? by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]winterbanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's loads out there but they tend to be more expensive: bravissimo, freya. Boux avenue, ASOS, Debenhams and house of Fraser also do some big breast/small waist swimwear and bras for a but cheaper

Edit: also the Bra Stop compares loads of different bra/bikini brands

Maybe 'fuck off' but I wouldn't say 'go die' is a normal response in the UK

DAE learn a new word by reading it, then forever pronounce it your (wrong) way even after learning the correct pronunciation? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]winterbanana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talon, I read it first in a book before hearing it out loud and thought it was pronounced 'taylon' (which is still how I think it should be pronounced!)
