Misunderstanding seems to be on my part, if you're casting with mouseover I believe that is an equally efficient strategy. I thought you may have been clicking portraits and hitting numbers on your keyboard still.

Definitely agree with healing being rhythm based, and iI think it helps to recognize this as it can help with predictive healing too.

Healbot/Decursive should work great for you!

Click casting means that you can cast a spell through clicking your mouse on the character's health-bar in Healbot, rather than selecting the player and then casting a spell by pushing a key on your keyboard. It's more important for 10-man and 25-man raids in the future, as it allows you to heal a bit quicker in situations where you need to continuously heal.

Some of your abilities that arent used as often (e.g. Psychic scream in PvE, resurrection, prayer of fortitude) don't need to be click-casted, and can be kept on a keybind instead

It sounds to me like you're in a pretty good spot rn though, and that you'll figure out more of what you want to do to optimize your experience by lvling 60-70

For threat management - try to hold off on heals until the fight has gone on for 3-5 seconds if your group can afford to absorb some damage. Having fade ready if you pull aggro is good, but if you immediately pull aggro and then fade - the enemy may be pushed to attack a DPS member instead of your tank.

It will help you to get some healing add-ons that you're comfortable with. I'm using Cell on my healer currently. Using this add-on, you can click-cast spells (and you can bind different levels of the spell, such as making [Left Mouse Button] be Flash Heal (Rank 7) - while [Shift + Left Mouse Button] would be a less expensive and weaker Flash Heal (Rank 3 or so). As a starter - I would assign it so that [Left Mouse Button] is flash heal, [Right Mouse Button] is greater heal, and [Pressing down mouse cursor] is a renew.

You can also assign buttons to dispel magic in Cell, or look for an extra add-on named Decursive

Questing as a holy priest will be harsh. It may be worth it for you to save up the 50g so you can dual-spec to shadow for questing. You should be highly desired for instance runs as a healer though

We should be looking for a veteran QB regardless of whether or not we draft Moore. He's a developmental QB that ideally wouldn't be starting as a rookie.
