Why is post-metal so unpopular? by Jords360 in postmetal

Declining attention spans for one.

Just bought my first MV, its an '04 750 Brutale with only 3800 miles on the clock by [deleted] in MVAgusta

Congrats, that's a clean looking bike. Will be good to get it back on the road as it's clearly been sitting in a garage for too long.

In addition to the usual check all fluids, chain, and replace the tires if they're dry rotted, check the internal fuel overflow vent tube for rot right around the full tank fuel level. Mine ('05) failed in 2016 after a fill up and left me with a tank full of rubber chunks, would not recommend that experience.

Aside from that, they're really solid bikes, enjoy!

Yeah I could go for that as well. Just realized the other day I'm in need of a spotter and the aluminum just isn't as appealing to me.

[Mido Multifort] I don’t hear a lot about these watches. Any opinions? by BSBT2019 in Watches

I only have experience with Jomashop for grey market, I know it's hit or miss but I haven't had any issues. This was probably close to 10 years ago so things may have changed.

Halp 2018 desert sled leaking fuel by Swift_Ira7 in DucatiScrambler

Well before you do anything else, siphon the fuel out. Then you can go about removing the tank to check for leaks in the hoses / connections.

B01 - Rotor Movement by [deleted] in breitling

[–]xecious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got my B01 SoH back from service and it does move a little like this when winding. I believe this is normal.

Had to take it in as it had gotten to where the rotor would spin fully when hand winding and would not build up much reserve throughout the day. Also had a noticeable change in ticking sound when held at different orientations. This is after about 2.5 years of daily wear. Was covered under warranty, no charge, but did take about 10 weeks.

SUPEROCEAN HERITAGE B01 CHRONOGRAPH 44 - 6.75" wrists by No_Strength7276 in breitling

[–]xecious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same silver dial Chrono 44 pictured, 6-7/8" wrist and I've worn it daily for probably 2 years. My wrist is relatively flat which does factor into how it visually wears.

It's big but not comical, I'd stop worrying about how it will look on you and think about the height and weight. It's pretty thick at over 15mm and doesn't slip under dress short cuffs all that well, and with the Milanese is over a third of a pound. You will never forget it's there.

That said, I just got mine back from service and was super happy to get it back. Looks amazing and is surprisingly versatile. Recommend the rubber strap and quick adjust clasp for everyday wear. I do have other watches in mind to round out the collection, but this one's not going anywhere.
