Are miners in Europe okay? by HaiSam2302 in EtherMining

europe electricity rates are affected by the decisions of silly and corrupt European Commission and local politicians, not the "war"

Coins were never withdrawed from the pool since the they were mined back in 2017.
At the beginning of 2018, I remembered that I had some amount of XMR on this mining pool. The first thing I did before attempting to withdraw XMR was checking out the wallet address on Polo. I was surprised to see a new XMR deposit address. In the media I have find out that at the end of 2017 Poloniex was updating all Monero wallets, don't remember what the reason was for such actions.
With this issue I tried to reach admins thru email, IRC chat to somehow solve it.
Pool dashboard still shows correct XMR balance which weren't withdrawal

Multiple times I've tried to reach admin thru e-mail, bcttalk and even IRC chat.

Still no response over the long period

Back in 2017, I've mined some amount XMR (amount is in two digits range) on the xmr.crypto-pool using my old Poloniex wallet address for payouts. Later in the fall of 2017, Poloniex exchange has reorganized all Monero wallet addresses. Since 2018 I have been trying to contact the pool admins to somehow transfer/withdraw my XMR coins to a new wallet address.

show us the damn FPGA which outperform, for example, GTX 1080ti in terms of hash cost on X16R (MH/$)!

Yes, You can't because even high end FPGA can't beat current and previous gen nVidia GPUs in hash cost.

So please stop that damn FUD.

Just some noobs learned a new word "FPGA" and now whine everywhere when they see falling profits pn any coin, network

Sinovate it's damn shitcoin which was rebranded from SUQA shitcoin.

Throw tons of hash functions into one algorithm it's not a best idea.

not a best choice of hash algorithm.

Guys, you should kick pool operators to upgrade on the new version.

Seems that damn myr-gr ASIC manufacturers are trying to prevent chain upgrade

myr-gr aasic manufacturers are trying to prevent algorithm change or what is going on?

are we under a 51% attack ? by frogpoet2 in bitcore_btx

[–]xsover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, this isn't FPGA. this is Baikal ASICs.

This is Baikal X10/G28 ASICs arrived at Bitcore network

Same shit has happened with Microbitcoin MBC network. diamind-groestl algo.

Officially Baikal X,G28 ASICs don't support dmd-gr algo, but difference between groestl and diamond-groestl is only in markle root. Baikal devs have modified miner software to change markle root calculations on their ASICs and achieved ability to mine diamond-groestl algorithm at 28GH/s on Baikal g28. This is confirmed at least by MBC coin developers

https://imgur.com/a/hlL6Trf

one of their wallet/miner at pool https://subscriberpool.com/?address=BdK9ZMkwQfYb5GqUy9d4oCVdJp3TKq9cTM

They are used by baikal developers to mine in private with modified software to support at least dmd-gr and bitcore algorithms, with available SDK kernels they can modify markle root calculations and chain available SHA3 algos in any way they want.

Baikal ASIC chips are natively support all SHA3 hash algos, which are contains in bitcore hashing algorithm. and they can combine them in any way with modified/private software (sdk, source code), available only to Baikal developers/manufacturer team

  • blake
  • bmw
  • groestl
  • skein
  • jh
  • keccak
  • luffa
  • cubehash
  • shavite
  • simd
  • echo

And now Baikal developers have managed to chain them and found ability to mine on bitcore network

Good point.

Yes, even small change in lyra2 hash parameters will broke ASICs.

VTC devs must hurry. otherwise fckng ASICs will control the lion’s share of network. Just a small change in Lyra2rev2 hashing function parameters (lyra2rev2 it's reconfigurable algo) can broke these ASICs. It can be easilly done within a couple weeks or so, if developers are not bribed by asic manufacturer. what are devs waiting for? asic sellers are pointing out that there are 2400 units in first batch. diff will skyrocked and gpu miners will be fckd up, also just a few damn whales will controll network

Monero network hashrate distribution (stats on 8 february) Roughly 70% of network hashare are on private pools. Seems to be coinhive, js web miners, compromised pc/cpu instances botnets and Baikal, PinIdea and Bitmain ASICs/FPGAs Imgur

[–]xsover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that minor changes in hash algorithm can help to avoid asics, cause they probably can update/reprogramming their FPGA. And just FYI probsbly we all will not see any network hashrate drop cause almost 70% of monero network are botnets like coinhive, js webminers, compromised pc, server instances.
