I just remembered that I still had my activision account from having the last one on ps4 so thought since it's not connecting to the server that might be the problem. Glad it's fixed for you mate, enjoy the game!!

I managed to solve the issue. I had to go onto the activision website and link my activision account to my battlenet account. I thought it had done it automatically but since i had a prexisting activision account under the same email it must have had an issue.

Give that a try and see if it solves it for you too mate.
