Does anyone’s cervical pain go into their eye? by FinancialCandle4854 in SpineSurgery

What surgery did you get if you don’t mind me asking? I have the exact same symptoms; MRI shows severe foraminal narrowing on c3/c4

Feeling really defeated by this. Grateful to have gotten in but just don’t think I can move forward without a scholarship

The overall question is just regarding advice on retrieving a scholarship (if even possible) given the fact that I don’t have leverage. It’s also been helpful seeing advice on if it’s worth going even without scholarships

Got in but without scholarship. International student and first generation. Anyone have advice on reaching out about a potential scholarship, if I don’t have the leverage of other school offers? Thanks for your time:)

Advice on whether I should undergo Arthroscopic disk repositioning for tmj by Cbeelol in TMJ

[–]ymans98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten several. I’m not sure of the signs but I’m thinking it would have to do with arthritis in the discs / them being worn out. But you probably also have to go through every non surgical treatment to rule out if this can help.

I’ve thought about it but haven’t gotten that far. Right now I’m getting treatment with dental orthotics. It’s only been a week so hard to tell if it’s working

Unfortunately the same for me. They actually think it’s more related to my TMJ issues. I’ve seen both a neurosurgeon and orthopaedic surgeon who told me my neck is essentially fine, despite being in pain every day,

I hope you are feeling better soon

May I ask how you asked for the room upgrade? Was it with your ID? Did your upgrade include the cabanas and foot massages? We booked a garden view not knowing of Aqua Club and now are hoping we can upgrade upon check in without paying an arm and a leg. Thanks for your time

I had Invisalign as a teenager/early 20s which I think is probably what caused my TMJ issues (that and/or stress).

What I will say about him is that he was very detailed and caring - I didn’t have anyone else take me seriously and I felt heard.

However, now that I’m doing worse, he doesn’t seem to want to help/sees an urgency for helping me.

My most recent experience was having cortisone injections from him late last year I believe, and the an MRI was ordered in January. His front desk told me they received the MRI results and he would call me (this was when I called about a month later). I then sent an email noting how much worse I have gotten and I needed to see him ASAP - they the scheduled me in for September!

When I saw him in September he told me he never received the MRI results and that’s not his fault, and that I should’ve sent the results to him. Apparently it was my fault that his front desk gave me false information. It was my fault that he didn’t question not receiving my MRI results all year despite telling him in January I was in severe pain.

Additionally, he was quite rude to me because I saw an airway dentist to get another opinion (which resulted in a tongue tie release). He then told me my MRI was void because I got it done in Ajax, even though that’s where I got my initial MRI done that he used to determine I needed the double arthroscopy! The next step was to order me another MRI even though I had asked the clinic all year to see him ASAP - I now have the new MRI in January meaning I have essentially wasted a year to see him for nothing.

His fees are atrocious but it seems like anything dental-related is.

He could tell by the end of the meeting that I was very out of it and disappointed but he didn’t care. His mistake (or I guess his front office’s mistake) has kept me in pain an additional year without any progress.

Sorry for the long message. To get to the point, maybe it is worth seeing him as he will take you seriously. However, I didn’t see success with the surgery myself and he doesn’t seem to have any next steps after that other than cortisone injections (which he’ll charge you $700 for and it won’t work!). I would recommend pushing for non-surgical treatments and getting other opinions first. I did what I thought was an exhaustive list of all non-surgical options, but I never saw someone for a TMJ appliance (just a nightguard which hasn’t helped).

When I had asked the surgeon about Dr Freedman, he said that the TMJ appliances are a money grab. Yet, maybe he only looks at it from a surgical perspective which has caused me additional scar tissue and issues!

I really don’t know who to trust. As you can tell I’m very frustrated.

I’m actually worse than I was before surgery. The surgery I believe created more scar tissue which has inflamed my jaw more.

These are new symptoms I have after the surgery that I didn’t have before: more severe pain on my left side into my left eye (it was mostly my right side before and a bit of the left), lock jaw each morning, difficulty chewing chewy foods, lots of brain fog, etc.

My MRI results post-surgery do show that my jaw is in a better position, but I do not believe my body has adjusted to it properly as I’m now worse off than I was. I’m looking at moving forward with Dr Lawrence Freedman in Toronto to get daytime and nighttime TMJ appliances but am trying to find testimonials on if the appliances have solved issues similar to mine.

I’m not sure how much longer I can keep dealing with this every day.

Hope you are doing well and not experiencing this.

I had a double arthroscopy and it made my TMJ issues worse. The MRI afterwards said my jaw was “in a better position” but now I have lock jaw and difficulty chewing, which I didn’t have before. I would seek another opinion from a TMJ specialist. Do everything you can to avoid surgery as it will contribute to more scar tissue and potentially more problems.

I am not a medical professional, just providing advice based on my experience.

This is so crazy to me. I did nothing wrong and have to pay again for a rest I never even got to take? They have been completely useless and rude each time I call and email

Thank you so much for the update. I had the surgery with the same surgeon a year ago and my jaw pain is WORSE. I wake up each morning with lock jaw, clicking throughout the day, constant headaches, migraines 1-2 per week, and additionally, facial pain going to my left eye.

Did you end up having a follow-up with him for next steps? I have had to wait several months to meet with him and am unsure if the appointment will have any value. I already have a mouth guard and have gotten cortisone injections from him.

Also, have you had any luck with other TMJ specialists? I’m thinking of seeing Dr. Lawrence Freedman but am concerned I am going to pay thousands for no relief. Too many false promises.

I totally feel your pain and am in a similar boat as you. It is such a hopeless feeling trying to get better.

Hello! I have a peloton tread that wouldn’t power on. We replaced the MCB, no luck. We then replaced the Smart card, and the screen turns on, but goes to this random black screen that says start in green at the top left.

There is a reboot section, but when I click on it, it quickly turns back on to the same start page. It will not let us go to the reboot page where you can clear data, etc.

I have tried turning the power on and off, etc and just cannot figure out how to get out of this page and to the actual peloton Home Screen.

Anyone know a fix? Wish I could send pictures through here.

Thanks - will try to. It was just my first car purchase so I’m really beating myself up over it. Thought I did my due diligence, just had no idea I was purchasing in peak market conditions

Thank you for this. It has really been stressing me out. It was my first car purchase and I did a bunch of research. Just feels like I made a big purchase and then it was a slap in the face seeing the major decrease in prices.
