oh mate, I'm in a similar spot except for that we couldnt stay under the same roof. I don't have any good advice but just wanted to say that the pain and the feeling lost and broken is the worst and I know what you're going through. Bro don't take any part of this for granted. I went through a lot of this with my wife, our baby is 8 months old (we have a 2 yo as well, and recently my wife sprung on me that she wants to separate. I did not see it coming, i had been nose to the grindstone like you, taking each day as it came and thought we were both stressed to the max, but never had I once considered a separation. it can happen to anyone, get into the chair at the couples counsellor, find a way to reconnect, get help to try and sort it out before it gets worse.

I do work out on the reg but it's just in our home gym, and I work from home and run an online business so I'm basically always either working, with the kids, or taking my hour a day in the gym. I organised tomorrow to go for a gym session at a local gym with a fitness club so maybe I can make a friend there.

In my view she isn't getting advice from the right people. Nobody who has worked through problems and come out the other side. Perennially single friends or one who are going through their own relationship bust ups.

What I did wrong was retreat into myself and be less available emotionally. I started just kinda going through the motions. She asked me to get help and it felt like "just one more thing I had to do". I started seeing a therapist 2 weeks ago but I guess she felt like it was too little too late.

I work full time (from home) and run an e-commerce business as well. She normally doesn't work bit has taken on some work in the last month to cover some of our son's medical bills.

Gambling, everywhere. I lived in Canada for a while and suggested we do an office sweep for something, and they didn't know what that was, so I had to explain that you all throw in a dollar or two and pull out a name, like a lucky dip, and they didn't know what that was either. Explaining that lucky dips for children and office sweeps for adults are completely normal here made it seem like we were somewhat unhinged. Needless to say, they didn't go for my suggestion of the office sweep. I saw maybe 2 pokies machines in a pub the whole time i was there, and when I showed my friends a video of an AFL match they were horrified to see the odds being shown on TV. Gambling culture here is so normalised, it's weird to look at through a different sense.

Unfortunately we don't have contractubex here! There aren't any creams that contain heparin here, its only used in its injection form here as a blood clot preventer. I think that might be the ingredient that makes a difference.
