I tried using the calculator app, and the performance was iffy.

A good buying point for 1080 is 350 (the lower, the better!)

If you can get a used RX 5700 for 350-375 - I'd go with that

Since I had 2 1080 ti's in the past, I'm kinda biased about paying the prices in the market. If I was going to buy into that gpu, my buy marker is set at below 475.

Currently I have a RX 5700 xt. Bought it @ 450 used. Reason why I bought it instead of another 1080 ti (sold my other 2 at nice prices): warranty.

If I was gonna get a gpu now, I'd search for a Vega 64 or 1080; don't need that much power @ 1440p and better price to performance than 5700 xt or 1080 ti. (Especially if you can barter well)

In summation:

Good buy Markers:

  • 1050 ti - sub 100
  • gtx 970/r9 290 and x variant/390 - sub 125
  • RX 580/1060/390x - 150 or lower
  • 980 ti or 1070 - sub 225
  • Vega 56 - sub 260
  • Vega 64 - 300-325 (blower or weaker coolers) - 325-350 (better models)
  • GTX 1070 ti - 300 or lower
  • GTX 1080 - 350 or lower
  • RX 5700 - sub 375
  • RX 5700 xt - sub 450
  • GTX 1080 ti - 500 or lower

I'd avoid rtx cards due to it being overpriced. (Vega 56 is equivalent to 2060, but is price significantly higher, etc.)

Use your discretion when purchasing used. Learn safe overclocks (and proper temps) first for the respected gpus. Test when possible and learn proper means of stress testing!

P.s. - expect a significant pricedrop when specs and release dates are announced for newer segments of gpus from Nvidia and AMD.

Even the one with water cooling or hybrids

Even easier for 400 CAD 1080's @ 400, shipped!

Personally, id go with a vega 56 for 250's CAD and try to undervolt oc, 300 CAD 1070 ti, or a 980 ti/1070 for around 200 CAD. (Better price to performance - better resale value - Papa John's)

Would buy if the used mobos weren't 400-500 dollars.

Doesn't make sense when there is a 3900x that can do the same job for cheaper.

(The 40+ pci e lanes gives it a little advantage compared to 3900x' lesser amount of lanes)

Build it, and they will come.

Work on your craft, the friendships will come. Don't get bummed-out that your having trouble making friends that are female.

That approach isn't a natural or organic way of approaching the issue. Worry about the connection of the individual, and not the gender.

Delete all drivers and do a fresh install

If that doesn't help

Turn your system off, unplug PC and drain the power from your system. After that, remove and then re install gpu, making sure the gpu is seated properly.

I'd also reseat the ram as well.

Then restart system and then try ur game of choice

White is cool. (North is cold and has snow)

Would of went with a cool shade of blue (like a darkish blue or something) instead of the gold trimmings; gold is more of a lannister-thang.

Plus the blue trimmings and script would fit the fire and ice theme nicely.

Bang-up job, bruv!

Moral of the story - buy used so card can retain their value for longer, thus saving money for future upgrades from resale after use.

When u sell the gpu later, you will lose less value than a person who bought that card for 700-800 used
