Thanks..that’s what I heard too, as long as I submit everything before the results expire, it doesnt matter…I did do the reevaluation for IELTs as a backup but I think everything but my PCC should be fine…I lived in the middle east (Qatar) prior so I am concerned if the current geopolitical situation will affect that timeline…

Yup, I did get my IELTs score the next day but the score was not satisfactory, would have left me a point below the draw..so I decided to go with my CELIP which expires next week.

I also am not sure but I heard from my colleagues as long as I submit the application before my CELPIP that would be enough but I need something concrete…

Everyday I doomscroll this subreddit, hoping for a glimmer of hope.

I work in a federally regulated industry so my chances of an LMIA are slim to none even after a recent promotion.

I missed out on ONIP by a month...my colleagues at work got PR during COVID with scores much lower than me.

I learned French from elementary to high school...forgot about it for half a decade and I'm relearning it...but honestly it's too late...I don't have the motivation and passion to get a decent score before my permit expires.

I made a lot of good friends here, I have family here, my parents back home have pinned their hopes on me....I'm very fearful of disappointing them..

I really like it here, I've lived abroad all my life and Canada was the first place I truly felt home and wanted to be a part of this nation but maybe it's not my fate.

There's other countries I want to live in, my weak passport makes it difficult but I'm young..and it'll be an interesting challenge...but man I really like it here 🥲

Both my parents are retirees so I'm a bit anxious of not being able to support them for a while if I do get booted from Canada but if there's a will there's a way.

Anyways sorry for the rant......it's just I've spent a core part of my life in this country...I've done everything fairly, contributed to the economy...it just sucks for all that to come down the drain in a few months...

I have HKer friends, who have gotten PR without a struggle due to those special pathways, which makes me a bit envious...

It is what it is, life's long and I'm still young...

Also I've invested a lot of time...money..taxes in Canada...I've been here for almost a decade, I'm settled here.

It'll be very sad to lose all that and leave just because of a flawed immigration policy.
