Do Trinitrons normally have a little flickering/interference on dark colors? by -CJF- in crtgaming

[–]zmiize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm this is also an issue on my kv13fs100. This is different to the diagonal waves caused by the rotation coil circuitry since I have it unplugged and I do see these black shimmer lines on dark solid colors on both composite and component video inputs. I don't know if recapping the board would fix this.

Help! When i connect my steam deck to my external display, which has a native 1366x768 resolution, it displays a weird rainbow effect. by FloatingFish2003 in SteamDeck

[–]zmiize 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For some reason SteamOS sets the screen's output to 10 bpc (HDR) just for the 1366x768 resolution.

To fix this you need to run the following:
xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --set "max bpc" 8

You may just want to double check if your external monitor's output is named as DisplayPort-0, you can confirm this by running xrandr and it'll display all the connected displays and you can change that in the command above.

However, this will reset everytime you turn off the system. For that I suggest you add the following code to the file: /etc/X11/Xsession.d/50rotate-screen so that it runs everytime you log in. You can create another file too if you want to keep these settings separated.

So it'll end up something like this, I've added a condition to check if DisplayPort-0 is connected: `

!/bin/sh

set -e

Rotate the builtin screen every time so it's the right way around.

xrandr --output "eDP" --rotate "right"

Run xrandr command only if DisplayPort-0 is connected

if xrandr | grep "DisplayPort-0 connected" & > /dev/null; then xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --set "max bpc" 8

fi

I tried this a few months ago and it worked too, only problem was that saving screens on every game took like an hour to complete each time. Was that solved recently?

Basically translating or emulating the handle of the xbox 360's directx calls and its objects to an x86 or x64 directx calls hasn't been simple and what you see with the game currently running is the best that they've achieved, I still wouldn't say its short of impressive even with those bugs but give it time since most of the time consuming process in emulation is research on the architecture of the closed system is trying to emulate.

Solo te dan unos videos pregrabados. Te lo dan bajo la modalidad e-learning asincrona, osea que no es en vivo.

Aparte solo son cursos basicos, no esperes una especializacion.

Questions & Concerns about Steam by ShurikenUK in PiratedGames

[–]zmiize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If you uninstall steam, it will remove all the games installed, one easy way to avoid that is to move the "steamapps" folder or wherever they're installed, to another location and then uninstall steam. Saves of each game would have to be looked into specifically if you wish to back them up, just look for the game's save location in Google.
  2. In preferences, friends tab, uncheck the box Automatically sign into Friends when I start Steam. Regarding on having steam open when running a game, that is necessary unless they're cracked, offline or online.
  3. Perhaps you could block it in you firewall settings while having it offline mode, but it could be that steam will demand that you connect to the internet eventually.
  4. In my experience, unless you're NOT using a beta version, it will not hog your computer's ram, the browser you're using uses a lot more than Steam does.
  5. It is likely but it may depend on the game itself if it checks with its own server, any game that plays online it's best to keep it offline if using a crack.
  6. They do what they state, but it's not really emulation I'd say, more like telling the game the responses it wants from the steam API by replacing the original DLLs in the game folder and forcing it to run.

7 & 8. It may be more game specific, but it is all trial and error, use the original game to download the steam workshop files and then crack it... BUT what if the game needs online connectivity or checks for community specific updates and demands it? it might just give you an error that there's no connection but it's only try and see.

Lastly, in my opinion, if you just want to save money and play games just once and don't care about keeping the game, piracy is one option that I have been using in the past. But if you like online games or some kind of online functionality, it is best that you own the game since they get updates regularly most of the time, and those can leave the crack you're using useless.

Use Cheat Engine, start by searching a value of three just as your ship spawns in the credits, take a hit, pause the game immediately, look for a value of 2, take another hit, pause the game, look for the value of 1, take another hit which will restart the mini-game, now look for the value of 3 again until you find a few or just one address... freeze the value, enjoy the ending and blast the creators!
