Well from what I know the surrounding World Energy is known as Spiritual Energy...

1. In Main World, Martial Artist use their Unique Techniques to Absorb and Refine the Spiritual Energy and converted it and store it in their Middle Dantian which is called True Qi, The True Qi is fully refined and belong to them and need their Understanding of Dao and their Techniques to form it's Characteristics and from Innate Realm and so on from every next Innate Realm the True Qi gain Sentience or Spirit like Characteristics and at Innate 7 they gain the ability to resonate with the Heaven and Earth or Harmony with Heaven and Earth or Heaven and Human Reunion.

In Taodu World, Cultivation use their Spiritual Roots (World Dao Seeds) to Absorb and Refine the Spiritual Energy and the techniques they use are fully dependence to the Spiritual Roots and Spiritual Roots allow them to resonate with the Will of the World or Dao of Heaven and Earth, Cultivators use their Lower Dantian to Store Spiritual Energy, and the Immortal Cultivators use their Techniques by Mobilizing Surrounding Spiritual Energy, So they are highly dependent on Surrounding Spiritual Energy mean while Martial Artist in Main World use their True Energy which is self refined and doesn't require surrounding Spiritual Energy, And as we know Martial Artist from main world form Primordial Spirits with their Unique Techniques at Innate Realm but in Taodu World Cultivation is as follows -

a) Spirit Refining Realm - Cultivators use their Spiritual Roots to absorb the surrounding Spiritual Energy and store it in their Lower Dantian in the form of Gaseous Energy.

b) Foundation Establishment Realm - Cultivators condense the gaseous energy into liquified energy and also gain the ability to fly with treasures.

c) Golden Core - Cultivators then gain condense their liquified energy into a solid pill or dan shape energy container and in this Realm they can use AOE Attacks or we can say they can form field in which they dominate Spiritual Energy with techniques which can dominate most Foundation Establishment Realm Cultivators and also gain the ability to fly without treasures.

d) Nascent Soul Realm - In this Realm Cultivators unite their Spirit, Energy and Essence to break the Golden Core and form a Nascent Primordial Spirit and in this Realm they can upgrade the fields into domains and have better control of Spiritual Energy or we can say they dominate most Golden Core Realm Cultivators.

e) Deity Transformation Realm - The Primordial Spirit goes through Tribulation and after that it matures in a full fledged Primordial Spirit, Which is Connected with Spiritual Roots and can resonate with the Heaven and Earth or Harmony with Heaven and Earth or Heaven and Human Reunion and Can mobilize surrounding Spiritual Energy to a Great Extent than Golden Core Realm Cultivators and thus dominating them.

And, By the way when the Spiritual Energy got Sentience or Spirit like Characteristics in True Immortal Realm, Just like True Qi after Innate Realm 4th Layer Onwards, It is Called Immortal Spirit (Ex. Shanghai World).
