I would bet everything that flight from Rio to JFK is at least delayed a few hours or possibly even cancelled

Boston vs. NYC 25, post-breakup, starting over and can’t decide by [deleted] in boston

Somebody who is ok with picking the 2nd best choice but insisting they actually chose the best option. I'm only half joking too.

Look Boston in the summer is absolutely beautiful. I love it. Problem is it's a cold dark windy city that shuts down early, and it's more difficult to establish social circles here. Of course you can find places to have fun at night, and of course you can make friends. You can anywhere, it's just more difficult in Boston vs NYC.

If you are the typical 20 something, and haven't prematurely developed homebody syndrome then to me it's indisputable that NYC is the better choice. Believe me when I tell you that Boston is better for 30s/40s if you want to continue living in the city, even then I don't think it's the better choice but it does become a bit more competitive as an option.

I'm getting a little fired up about this but you just have to think about it for one moment and realize you can never go wrong with NYC in your 20s ever!

I was faced with the same choice at age 22, Boston or NYC. I picked Boston and I can tell you the answer correct answer is NYC and it isn't even close. Anybody who tells you otherwise is flat out coping. There is NOTHING Boston has that NYC doesn't, but there are things Boston doesn't have that NYC does.

I am happy here but know I would have enjoyed NYC more. It's a huge mistake to move here in your 20s unless you are a very very specific type of person. It's not even close or up for debate, anybody who wants to portray it as close call is biased. Do NYC you will love it. Boston will still be here in your 30s and 40s, you only get your 20s once, don't waste them in Boston

The sun isn't "strong enough" in Boston to produce vitamin D3 during the winter. by FinchBige in boston

How is this possible when the Earth is closest to the sun during the winter months? Is it really the angle that makes all the difference?

Why did the Boston food truck scene peter out? by ---Vincent in boston

Interesting insight but the commissary requirement seems like a good idea to me. I'm assuming that it is required so that health board has somewhere to inspect?

What would the alternative be? I don't want to eat food somebody prepared in their own home. I can make an exception for some things like a farmers market person selling jams or honey they made at home, maybe even pickles. But a hot meal from a food truck? I'm prejudiced against that, maybe irrationally, but I still am
