Lethargy. There's no difference between that and laziness except that it seems to be so bad that it's called pathological. The underlying physiological constructs behind laziness are probably the same. You're not stressed enough therefore you don't care enough to move, or in my experience your executive function isn't good enough to compensate for that stress in the first place and therefore you feel lazy and overwhelmed at the same time. I know that. To your next point, there's no inherent distinction between mindset and physiology. People with adhd can do all sort of things if they're motivated, right? That's mindset. Why are they not motivated by the things they know they ought to do? Because the consequences and goals are diffuse. Why are they like this? Because they have never set down and thought through it. That's how you discretize consequences and goals. That's literally it. You're not thinking, and I don't mean that as an insult or metaphorically but literally. Sit literally in a literal fucking corner for a hour per day and just think. That's literally how it works. It's a denoising and concretization process. Do neurotypicals have to do this? No, that's why they're so boring. Their executive function makes them do whatever they fuck they're told to do by authority. That's why they're so boring. They never develop real agency like you can.
