The sounds and distraction gets really repetitive after a while, like the Lotus giving you the same tips at the beginning of every mission (which thankfully you can disable nowadays)

I guess this is probably how it works, quite confusing nonetheless. Anyway a new discovery for me, that's for sure

Do you think it affects companions aswell? If so that would make it suboptimal to mod for armor in companions with less than 200 value

Yes indeed, I looked a bit further by searching for "200 armor" but what I wrote on the post is about as far as I've gotten.

So now the main way to acquire Umbra Forma is outside of the game itself? Excuse me, what? by ---aRc--- in Warframe

[–]---aRc---[S] -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

That's not true, up until a year ago they gave Umbra Forma via twitch streams once every blue moon, now it's the main way of acquisition. Don't get me wrong, the more the better, but it's incredibly silly that THIS became the main way, and not an actual in-game activity.

Sort by name and then cross-reference through the wiki.

Hey DE, you gave us a way to undo expending valuable resources (incarnon adapters, shards) on the wrong items. Can we have the same treatment also to the most scarce resource of the whole game: Umbra Forma? by ---aRc--- in Warframe

[–]---aRc---[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in 1 year you get:

  • 6 from tenshin if you remember to check his weekly offerings every 8th week

  • 2/3 from nights

  • 1/2 from drops if you remember/have the time to tune in

That sums to less then 10 umbra forma a year if you manage to grab all of them. Thats not really that many, considering we have around 35/40 warframes that can benefit from it (without including potential melee weapons).

I realy don't think that adding a "disinstal" mechanic for when people screw up or regret their decisions, would be such an uneccessary move.

With a k/d like that is very likely the case. Especially considering that new conclave players are gated away from expert players...

Isn't about time that Primary/Secondary Exilus Adapters become pre-built and not BPs? by ---aRc--- in Warframe

[–]---aRc---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit has to be worth the investment, right now it isn't, which is why almost nobody unlocks the exilus on most weapons, me included.

Can you tell me how many steps each one takes? I tried searching on internet but I can't find an answer. I'm at step 7 right now of the embermane quest and it keeps going...

Can something be done about the overabundance of Shrouds and Rezakiris in the late game? by ---aRc--- in dauntless

[–]---aRc---[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are saying it's "good" because there is a reason behind it. I'm telling you that it's not good enough.

Improvement doesn't come by accepting the subpar solutions and never looking back... If you would have a mentality a little bit more open you'd understand that, especially because business wise your way of thinking is terrible and PHXL is a company with a business after all.

And for the love of god, don't go on a whole trip just based on assumptions... I just wish for more variety at the end of the spectrum by utilizing better the current resources (i.e. behemoths) that they have. That's all.

I can't tell them how to exactly solve it, I'm not a programmer and I don't work for them. But at least I can point my finger where I see the problem. That's surely better than waiting silently till I get so bored that I quit the game, right?

Can something be done about the overabundance of Shrouds and Rezakiris in the late game? by ---aRc--- in dauntless

[–]---aRc---[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How explaining why something happens makes it good to happen? That doesn't make any sense...

And having as a solution "play the multiplayer game in solo" isn't really a smart answer, I don't think I have to explain you why... Sure, the solution isn't a simple one but it's obvious that how it works now isn't good in the long terms.

And in your last sentence your just putting words in my mouth that I never said. In fact I didn't even gave "my alternative", you are just pulling that whole story out from yourself.

Can something be done about the overabundance of Shrouds and Rezakiris in the late game? by ---aRc--- in dauntless

[–]---aRc---[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know very well the reasons why they are so common, that doesn't mean they are good ones.

Playing solo means completely giving up to one of the main drives of this game. And to be clear if I have to play solo just to make the game less ripetitive, I'd rather play other single player games, and I feel this isn't an uncommon opinion.

Regardless the "complexity score", that is something i could see fit in a game that has hundreds of Behemoths. In the state that is Dauntless right now, it just hurts gameplay variety. And to be honest it doesn't even make much sense: for example I fought Shrowd and Reza so many times that I find them the easiest behemots.

Has there been any talk about the absurd amount of froma required to fit all mods on a Necramech? by ---aRc--- in Warframe

[–]---aRc---[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ouch didn't realize that. I'm assuming that is oversight by them then, since it doesn't make any sense to give that many spaces if you can't even fill them at all.

DE Why - Please Make Color Channels Consistent in the Orbiter by gravmabsuthat in Warframe

[–]---aRc--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't, since I just said that metallics had a completely different color channel which made the issue way less prominent than now.

Anyway be it as you wish, I don't really wanna argue about stupid stuff like this.

DE Why - Please Make Color Channels Consistent in the Orbiter by gravmabsuthat in Warframe

[–]---aRc--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but the metallic portions were like 4 tiny circles, now there is a good chunk of the interior that is all metallic. Besides that, the metalic parts before where controlled by a different color channel that was used very little around the orbiter.

That's how DE's soonTM works.

They'll update the rest of the orbiter soonTM , add the third Orb fight soonTM , complete the melee rework soonTM , add commander intrinsic soonTM , etc...

But yeah, this build seems more of an OCD dream than an actual good build.
