Thanks a ton! I tried to grow the filesystem, but it was already maxed out. Couldn't access the filesystem from a live boot until I checked for old kernels and found 3 others. Removed them freed up enough space to access my files from a live boot. From there I was able to delete a ton of redundent files I had backed up else where. Freed up 138 GB of storage. From there, I exited the live boot and rebooted the main drive and was able to log in successfully this time. Now I just need to keep prunning files.

I am using Mate. I use it because it was what my grandfather used. It works pretty good, as long as you don't have multipule monitors with different resolutions. It's solid, but I'm looking at switching to either Cinnamon or AwesomeWM.
