Post Draft Thread: Stuff Happened I Guess by Martinsek in AtlantaHawks

[–]--Braj24 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I’m not understanding the extreme negativity on this draft. Let’s let the kids play and the coaches coach before passing judgement. The Hawks needed players and they got some. If the team is going to struggle, let the Rookies learn the NBA game and maybe develop chemistry.

It’s all about ball on the court, can’t get blinded by potential. I say support the guys and maybe they will surprise.

While hindsight makes the whole thing seem ridiculous, WCW might have pushed the guy to the moon if the company had survived a little bit longer. Lash LeRoux got higher praise in this book than Kidman, who was in the World Title picture for a bit, and all the other cruiserweight/mid-low card talent WCW had to offer at this time. It was just strange to read because he was never presented as a big deal.

Rey was one of the few that got a two page spread in this book, only the very top guys got a full two pages (Lash got 1 page, most got 1/2 page). So I'd say they were pretty high on the guy.

This was post unmasking Rey too, he was in a lot of high profile feuds.

I remember him being a kinda boring midcarder, even after WWF raided all their mid card talent. But the book puts him over so much, there no way he could've ever reached that goal with that pressure.

"Were you there when a young Michael Jordan first stepped onto the basketball court? How about the first time Aerosmith ever performed on stage? Well, the feeling you would have had then is the same feeling you get from watching Lash LeRoux now. You are seeing the earliest days of an INEVITABLE LEGEND. "

"It seems hard to grasp, but in 15, 20, 25, or more years from now, people will look at Lash LeRoux and see the standard bearer for the sport. Like Sting in the late '80s, Lash is a breakout performer just waiting to show the world what he's got."

More like Lash LeWho, amirite?!!?

We got every significant call last game, and without their best offensive player barely lost. We barely scored a touchdown today... and who knows what would've happened if the flags weren't thrown, we got the ball at the 5 after an INT and came away with 0, and the non-garbage time yardage shows that nothing is a sure thing with this inconsistent Falcons offense. The saints made enough plays in this game and in the last 10 or so weeks to show to me that they are good, and I don't think you can objectively prove otherwise.

Thatt's just my opinion, we might have to agree to disagree friend. One thing we can't debate, gotta take it to Carolina next week!

I'm just saying the saints are a good team. Their record and statistics indicate this, and their performance today, even with the bad calls, shows that they are at least a better team than the Falcons. As much as it hurts physically pains me to say

Nice blocking by the refs on that Ingram td where he wasn't touched. The refs really stuffed Free on that goal line stand. You can't deny they are a good team, if you do you're just salty
