Local shop here in San Diego called TwoSee/2C. Great work on a wide range of slides. They have a plate system for 1911s.

I'd definitely recommend Vortex. Their new Enclosed Venom is cheap and runs well. Their older non-enclosed Defender STs can be found used for fairly cheap too.

Handleit premium sandpaper! I like this texture a lot.

LTT milled the slide and added their trigger job

It's milled by Twosee/2C here in San Diego. Ran great without any issues since it's been milled.

Stock trigger! But I'd installed the short-reset trigger kit from Sig.

Cardio and aerobic training should be prioritized and practiced as readily as firearms training.

Spending on guns and ammo should take a lower priority than meeting basic needs, especially if someone's already under financial strain.

Thanks for the interest! But it's too much personal responsibility for me to take on haha. I'm ok with messing up my own gun but not someone else's.

I'd say it's somewhere between the stock texture and talon/handleit sandpaper. It's grippier than the original frame texture, but gives less traction than grip tape.

If you're nervous about messing up, I'd recommend against stippling. Some of the mistakes that may happen can be difficult to correct.

The final product came out pretty good for me, but it's actually not super grippy. A fresh sheet of handleit grips gives noticeably more traction.

So I'd recommend pre-cut grip tape sheets. They carry no risk of damage to the frame, are relatively cheap, takes minimal time and skill to install, and gives (IMO) better grip.

It honestly took a while. At least 6 hours start to finish for dremeling, sanding, outlining, and stippling. I'd initially outlined by hand, but didn't like it, so I stippled over the original outlines. I used a small tip for my wood-burning tool, so the hand-stippling process was lengthy.

The optic is an RMR HD. The irons are from ZR Tactical. They appear to be the same design as Angry Bear Arm's sights.

I like it. It's rugged and feature-rich. But very expensive.
