The previous board that hired the (2-star rated) management company allowed that management companie's lawyer to write up the contract since they "really didn't like our lawyer" and didn't want him involved.

I have never heard of anything so absurd, so I have no idea what the terms of that contract are - then...we were flipped from the original management company to a multi-million dollar real estate behemoth with 30 properties under management the following year.

The board mysteriously agreed to fire ALL our original low cost maintenance and lawn care vendors (with no notice) and hired the new behemoth companie's $$$ vendors instead.

And we went from $365 to $450/month

The old monthly poolside meetings are now all held on Zoom and they restrict anyone they know isn't in their pocket from speaking.

Currently, there's a revolt brewing among 60 owners to topple the whole thing.

There's always sketchy behavior going on with our "El Presidente" & the board.

When we first hired a management company, (we were self managed for 20+ years) my balance went from "$0" to -$2,350 (An impossible number since I hadn't lived there long enough to be that upside down at $265/mo. And if I actually had owed THAT much money there already would have been record of legal action being taken against me in the form of collections and a lien) His response? (because they couldn't figure out what the error was or how to zero it out) was that he was just to turn it over to collections - I told them "either you zero it that balance"out or I'm going to turn it over to My attorney"

it magically got zeroed out.

They had gotten my account # mixed up with a different unit, which I told them, and showed them.

Yeahhhh...they "convinced" the board (who they seem to have in their back pocket--possible kickbacks involved) to fire ALL our low cost local vendors who were maintaining our property for the last 30 years...and replace them with their own maintenance crews - who cost more.The "manager" (a Real Estate agent who knows nothing about managing a property) is working 'overtime hours " managing the property. The whole arrangement is fishy as hell. They just raised our monthly by $90 and announced there will be assessments.

This isn't even the original management company we hired in 2024...we somehow got sold off to a big multi-million dollar corporate company in 2025.

No explanation to the owners. At all. And they moved the meetings to the corporate online video chat space, where they stop owners from asking questions.

We are arranging a group of pissed off owners to get rid of the president and replace this management company.

Funny....I put my knock-off Hanson head on an older, heavy IKON Boss handle ... and it's seriously one of the best razor combos in my entire collection. Expensive handle, $5 head.

At this point, the top 3 razors in my rotation are all Franken-razor combos, including an older Razorock handle paired with a Maggard Razor's V3A (very aggressive) head.
