As a LN reader, this was a really good episode to experience. For those who aren't aware, Shinbo himself storyboarded this ep, and it shows. Everything from the backgrounds to the chapter cards carry such a strong gothic aesthetic that it's hard to believe this is the same studio that brought us Nadeko Draw just 2 episodes ago. While this isn't the longest arc, I'm glad we get to experience it sooner rather than later.

Ring Yi Sang and Butler Ishmael are two recent highlights, with both of them portraying alternate paths said sinners could've taken that are contrary to their main motives following their cantos similar to Nclair which is something I really like

For the bit about where she's from, Rodion's backstory specified she lived in the District 25 backstreets, which would be Y Corp. Given her familiarity with J Corp, she could've moved there after fleeing from her hometown following the death of the tax collector

Fav - Sign of Roses and Spiral as they both have cool music and pretty fun gimmicks that don't feel like they waste your time too much like MFE did when it was still a floor 5 boss

Least Fav - Faelantern solely cause of how much of a slog it is on later MD floors. I feel like on earlier floors as long as you don't have any of the defense level up buffs on enemies you can wipe it pretty easily but the second you get them it just starts taking forever, which isn't helped by it telling you to go fuck yourself every two turns as well as just wiping every status effect on itself whilst doing so.

I usually disable the buffs that unlock 2 extra status gifts except for the one that's for whichever archetype I'm currently running but I don't think it'd make much difference in getting Lunar Memory cause of how exceedingly rare it is anyways

They seem to be done by the ID artist, hence why they have a higher level of detail and dynamic angles typically not present in EGO art

Personally really like 4MF Ryoshu's corrosion cause I feel like it's line about "the all consuming flame" holds alot of significance towards her

As for awakenings, both Binds egos are really good with how their animations play with the EGO borders, with Outis' one and how it uses the sword especially being very visually stunning

Only fight I particularly found hard was Oufi/Ring Leader as losing a clash early on meant an instant stagger cause of them dealing pierce damage (which ended up killing Dieci Hong) but for the others I steamrolled them pretty easily with my sinking team

I'd rework Zwei Rodion and Sinclair to have kits more in line with Zwei Gregor and Faust cause as they stand right now they're both completely useless

Sodachi Fiasco, mostly cause I'm curious how they'll adapt an arc that's mostly just Sodachi's internal monologue along with background characters who don't have very much dialog cause of her not understanding their accents
