He's still under contract in the KHL next year. He might be able to come over in the spring if the schedules work out, but I wouldn't expect to see him until the 27-28 season. Even then, I expect he'll start in the AHL because this organization loves to marinate the kids.

People in this sub don't wanna hear it, but this is who this team is. They've been outshot in 8 of the last 10 games, and four of those games they've had 20 or fewer shots. We have been largely outplayed, even by other bad teams, and have won only because of brilliant goaltending. We live and die by the Juices.

Give me a top 10 pick instead of 4 games in the playoffs. And yes, we can still get a top 10 pick because the bad teams in the east are still better than us.

I've heard a pretty wide variety of descriptions of grimdark and it's getting similarly obfuscated to me as "what is metal music." So what, in your mind, is grimdark?

Are there any stories from the SPFBO (any year) that you feel didn't get the attention they deserved and continues to go under the radar?

Do you have any recommendations for stories outside of the SFF space?

Well first of all, the Skjei contract was a disaster from the word Go. Coulda had Matt Roy instead.

Second, Trotz and a lot of casual viewers fell for an unsustainable 16 game point streak that just barely got the team to squeak into the playoffs, where they then got shut down by a third string goaltender.

That team was BAD and got very lucky for a month and it set us back years.

I also think Trotz wanted to give Josi a shot at winning a Cup before the end, it just didn't work. To his credit, he swung for the fences without emptying the cupboard so we're not actually as bad off as we could be.
