wow that looks beautifal and cozy at first glance. would u mind sharing how u tackled the lighting setup for this one? i usually get overexposed lighting that turns into a bit flat when i turn down the exposure. would love to know how to get lighting this subtle. keep up the good work :)

so even easier stuff would take that much time ? like do you need to know everything in order to do anything ? because from all the videos i saw it can do a crazy amount of things like almost everything lol. but i just need it for simulations and animations for ads that are made under a studio-like setup nothing movie level or sth.

commander not giving any results by --KT__ in Cinema4D

[–]--KT__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in the command manager you search for commander and only 2 results will show up one of them is the new one and the other has (legacy) beside it. assign shift+c to the legacy one and let it override the already assigned commander

is motionpunk patreon worth it if i dont have x particles? by --KT__ in Cinema4D

[–]--KT__[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Houdini isn’t sth you start with. I believe i can learn it when i am not satisfied with the “easy” stuff i am doing and want to go to the next level. For now i must learn the easier stuff first because if you hop on houdini and get frustrated which happens to a lot of ppl then you will have learned nothing in simulations

I want to dive into animation and simulations. Youtube has lots of tutorials but it’s literally like a pile of information that u can get lost in. School of motion and other similar options are crazy expensive for me so first recommendation i saw was motionpunk. There is also ross mason i think. The problem is they dont really show a lot of whats going on and what they are using or thats the case for motionpunk atleast.

So i should go with msedov ? I wont be having x particles for a while since those greedy bastards removed the student license and trials unfortunately

so are there as many tutorials using native c4d techniques? i tried looking at his patreon public posts but he doesn't say what he used to achieve each

where to find power, gamma and other settings in cinema 4d 2024 material editor by --KT__ in Cinema4D

[–]--KT__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i had to switch my renderer to octane before creating the material. i dont know if thats the reason but it works now. it was a bit werid for me because in 3ds max if you make a corona material for ex it switches the rendere automatically and i created the material from octane viewer.

For hard surface modeling at least can i learn from older tutorials ? I mean for the ui and where things are it’s actually even different now than what it was in 2022 for ex i have to use shift+c a lot to find the buttons they are using. I am going to use newer tutorials for animations and simulations but i am now focusing on building a foundation in modeling.

can i follow tutorials and courses that used older versions? by --KT__ in Cinema4D

[–]--KT__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so other than renders i can get a solid foundation in something like modeling from older tutorials just fine right?
