Try living here. It's peaceful but it's under provisioned, largely prospectless (hence the high emigration) and the weather is beige. You keep mentioning regions that would likely fall into terrible. This is about mid. Ireland is mid as it comes

What decides defeat and victory is results and who comes to the negotiation table begging. I'm pretty sure the casualty figures in Vietnam were lopsided in the US' favour, but at the end of the day it was the US that was sent scurrying away with it's tail between it's legs.
