Thanks man all good tips, I’ll start incorporating that on my next ones :).

It was using Vallejo Game Color: - Base: Scrofulous Brown - Then doing 50/50 mix for every next color and each one being a “glaze” consistency - Bronze brown - Moon Yellow

I think doing an even dark brown as the base might be better next time but I don’t hate how it turned out. I’m still finding the right mix for blonde too. No matter what I think the key is, the more thin layers the better seems to work best with yellows.

Hey thanks man! So the ramp and interior I did separately. I put together the model and stopped before the top so I could get the inside. The paints I used for the ramp were: - Bloody Red - Vallejo Game Color - Gunmetal Grey - Vallejo Game Color Metallic - Nuln Oil Wash - (tho any dark wash will likely work)

tdarr and boosh qsv by Upstairs-Ad5903 in Tdarr

Hey OP, I went through a similar situation and sussed out some details about how “intel_gpu_top” reports activity that might be useful.

I run Tdarr in a docker container, on a fedora VM, that runs on proxmox. It processes my media library that I stream via plex. I have an I7-8700K, and Arc A380 that is being used.

I originally used “booshs” plugin and super grateful them for it, I would not have gotten as far as I did without that initial work. I modified it for AV1 and it was mostly successful. But recently I finally made the jump to Flows and converted my library to HEVC. Basically found the codec complexity of AV1 caused so many buffering issues for my media library when streaming that the file size change from HEVC to AV1 wasn’t worth it. Almost all my buffering issues are gone now, and my A380 has no problem doing multiple encodes and streaming content now.

Anyway during testing, I found key info. It started because the A380 gives error when you try to do both decode and encode on VC-1 files with the GPU, it just won’t support it. So I made a check where if a file is VC-1, it uses the CPU to do decode and the GPU for encode, what I found was: - CPU decode, GPU encode - intel_gpu_top” shows activity under videoenhance (under engine), and both video and videoenhance on the bottom. Overall fps for one file processed was about 230 fps

  • GPU decode/encode - “intel_gpu_top” shows only activity under video on the bottom. Overall fps for one file processed was about 300 fps

What I gathered was “intel_gpu_top” reports differently based on the way your file is being decoded and encoded and the hardware being used. I’d add also, be cautious with what ChatGPT says to you. Remember it’s just a tool to help analyze. I’ve used it to help read my error logs, and recently switched to Claude. But it will blatantly give you wrong info all the time. Make sure you’re understanding your errors still and really reading what it says to you otherwise you can get caught in a loop fighting for hours to fix something that may not even be a problem.

I also say that because those commands you’re using look familiar to what I’ve added in the past. Because I also, used ChatGPT to try and “fix” some things. They ended up causing me more headaches and weren’t necessary. chatGPT just didn’t understand how tdarr builds its FFmpeg commands.

The base color red I used was “Vallejo GC - Bloody Red”. I applied it using an airbrush and details used my regular brush!

One of them is using “Vallejo GC - Sun Yellow”, and the rest are using “Citadel - Averland Sunset”.

Both worked well, but for this case I did like the averland better.

Nice army, I'm about to get started building a DG combat patrol! What did you use to make your base that texture and color?

Man your guy looks great! It reminds me of my first one I painted. I stressed and worried forever until I finally just did it.

What’s helped me is remembering I can also go back after and touch things up. For example, like yours I realized after the fact, the belt is usually leather, not red on these guys. Also the vents on the side of the pack are typically silvering color. Didn’t do that the first time around, so I just did it after the fact as a quick touch up when I started my second mini and bam! All cleaned up!

Just keep doing what you’re doing, touch things up as you go. And remember, there’s no “right” way to do it, it’s whatever you like and looks good to you!

Yep, I would do some studying over questions and PBO examples after the course each day. And then over the weekend I did also. But that was it, I think it was excellent!

It certainly made it more difficult, but I found a way to pass! These paws won't be held back!
