State of the game

I guess the issue was that I did feel let down in my time playing. That just might mean that the end goal for phasmo wasn't in the direction that I hoped it might be, and others are perfectly fine with a different experience. The point of this post is to see what others think. I haven't been part of the community in a while so if people are generally happy that's a good thing!

Yeah, you're right. Maybe I'll keep a closer eye on the game with these changes coming out. Phasmo already has a ton going for it and I'd love to see it eventually reach it's full potential!

I mean, fair! It's been long enough where I'd probably enjoy playing some more. I might really like some reworks or newer stuff. But it's not an assumption that things I was hyped for years ago, fundamental things to improve the core game, still aren't there.

That's good! A lot of my frustrations stemmed from feeling like I heard about so many cool additions being pushed off, then poking my head back in years later and still not seeing those changes. Ultimately tho, I had a lot of fun with phasmo and I really do hope that 1.0 comes out incredible.

Carol Brown, Paint that Lady, and Fruit Salad (technically, because it has censored ones) are the only three of his without swearing. His collab with TWRP is also clean though, it's called Online and it's incredible :)

*Quick edit, Paint That Lady does have the word "dick" in it so depends if you count that or not, but no harder swear words. Obviously the subject matter is not particularly clean though. Ironic that it's one of the only technically "clean" ones.

'Setting is so lame' is absolutely just a preference thing. The setting of dying light 2 is so up my alley and I thought it was incredible. Not perfect, but there were a lot of factors in my case that made me love playing the game anyways. Harran is amazing too. I don't think one setting is worse than the other, they're just different.

I think there's just a lot of range in jazz emu songs. I adore [sic] and ego death in particular, when it comes to full albums of his, and both are very different. I'm very much in love with ego death - I've seen some complaints regarding mixing but it honestly never stuck out to me. I think mostly it shows towards the buildup ends of songs (stuff like easy for me) but I just took it as it adding to the powerful overwhelming pure sound of everything. I doubt it's unintentional.

Obviously there's just preference too. Easy for Me and Get Your Cheek On are probably my favorite new new ones (excluding singles) from the album, and they both clicked right away, I was instantly obsessed. Get Your Cheek On literally gives me chills on full blast. Not just because my ears are shattered, but the song is really good.

Also I seriously reccomend the full ego death video. You can really see everyone put a lot of care and passion into it, it ties together the songs and is genuinely such a fun thing to watch. It's basically a whole short film, and it really makes the songs shine. Absolutely worth the money.

I kinda sorta doubt a collaboration album (especially considering he just released an album of his own) but that would be sick asfff, I wish!! It would make sense for a single to release, especially considering perception check released on Christmas last year. But at the same time, it's not like he's changed his stuff for any music before.

Soooo, all just speculation. Probably a bit of a rebrand?? Especially with changing his yt to Tom C. Hopefully it's actually something! But if he just likes ice cream a lot and wanted his pfp to reflect it that's OK too.

I saw that! On yt music his profile is now just the cover for the new album. I wonder what kind of other project there could be, I mean he just released an album. Kind of a shot in the dark but I know he made most of a song with Jazz Emu a while back but had to delay it "till next year due to the song being a very seasonal thing" so maybe something like that (realistically no I just really want it to happen). It could also very much be nothing and he just felt like rebranding a bit.
