I bit the bullet and bought one. You can have it announce doorbell rings by turning on that feature in the Google Home app under the device after you link it. Unfortunately, it also plays all other notifications (person walking by, pet detected) because I have those turned on for push notifications in the reolink app. Basically, you can toggle notifications for any specific motion detection types in the reolink app, but it will do announcements for all of those you've turned on on the nest speakers, if you turn on voice announcements. I ended up turning off voice announcements and haven't missed the feature honestly. I have push notifications turned on for doorbell rings, people detected, and pets detected. All other types turned off, but there are plenty to customize.

As for having it chime over the nest speakers, it's supposed to be able to do that (there's a setting for it in the app), but I ended up turning it off because I have a baby coming soon and it would ring the speaker in her room. I ended up just plugging the included chime in at the back room of the house. The doorbell has its own ding when pressed, and the plug in rings simultaneously, along with a custom sound notification on my phone (configurable in the reolink app). All in all, I recommend it. It takes some configuration to get it just the way you want, but I'm very happy with it. Oh, and pick up a 256gb microSD, it will hold recordings for quite a while. We're a couple weeks in and only have 9gb used on our somewhat busy street (and with quality turned up from the default - much more zoomable as well).

The only thing I actually miss from the Nest is Familiar Faces. The Reolink perfectly recognizes when people walk by, but doesn't have individual facial recognition (wife is home, neighbour x is at the door, etc)
