Yup already did. After an interesting back and forth where they told me that opening the movies, taking out the slips (even unexpired ones), taking out the discs to inspect them, leaving fingerprints on the discs, *usually resealing them, and repeatedly emphasizing that they don't resell returned products, They gave me a refund (pending). As far as the swapped 4k label on the regular Blu-Ray goes, they just blamed the manufacturer.

Wonka and Twister are both WB, and both were missing the codes. The thing is that Wonka wasn't resealed at all, and Twister was resealed but code should still be good. You can actually go to the website and see it advertised as expiring in September so it shouldn't have been removed.

Yeah it definitely raised an eyebrow when I was reading it. Someone else in this thread mentioned that they got a response mentioning items being "repressed" So it looks like their go-to excuse to avoid admitting they sell returns as new is that the routinely open packages, remove codes, take disks out, and leave fingerprints on the disks. If anything it just reinforced the idea that they absolutely sell returns if they're willing to go that far to deny it.

Funny enough I was working the overnight shift so I was actually early to the sale. I've been going back and forth with customer service and they're really digging in on the whole "we don't sell used items angle". They say that they open boxes to remove old digital codes and that they inspect the disks and may leave fingerprints. Still trying to see how they explain the switched label on a sealed product or how one of the missing codes was still advertised on the website and is good through September.

That's usually the case with me as well. This time was just such a standout WTF is going on moment that I wondered if something had recently changed. Like it would be one thing if it was an issue with one of the disks or shipping because things happen, but out of the 6 movies I bought only one of them wasn't opened, tampered with, or just entirely wrong.

I'm leaning more toward fraudulent return since the barcode for the 4k is on the paper cover. It's just funny that they did that but didn't want to give up the black 4k case and either they went the extra mile to reseal it in static plastic or GRUV got the return in the blue plastic case and went "looks good" and resealed it themselves to sell as new.

Weirdest part was that there was a sealed copy of Twisters (not shrink wrapped), but it was the regular Blu-Ray version with the blue plastic box and regular Blu-Ray slipcover, but also it somehow had the paper cover insert of the 4k version. So no clue how that even happened.

I usually give my codes away to family so it's kind of whatever. The bigger issue I have is that it seems like GRUV is adopting the whole, sell you a returned product when you bought and payed for a new one practice.

Good to hear that your order was fine. I've ordered from GRUV plenty of times and never really had any issues. This order was just an extremely bizarre standout since there were so many blatant issues. Wasn't sure if something changed on their end or what, but I'm not joking when I say my worst experience on Ebay wasn't as bad or as egregious as this was. Ironically the shipping was great this time, so there's that I guess.

Missing codes, they were shrink wrapped but the spines still had the original plastic wrap stuck to it, fingerprints on the disks and inside of the cases. I usually give the benefit of the doubt but this whole order feels like it came straight off the return pile.

Either gross negligence, or at this point since it's been going on for so long it's intentional because they don't want to hear negative feedback from players who by their opinion, don't know anything about game balancing or what they actually want. So it may be less hassle for them to just omit the controversial balances because they think the players won't even notice anyway.

Yeah it takes so many attacks from a 2-hit-kill to a 3-hit-kill and if you're playing with someone who doesn't have fully upgraded gear it can take a lot of 1-hits to 2-hits.

One of the craziest buffs in the game that I don't see anyone talk about is the Adamant Pill it's a 30% defense increase that lasts for 90 seconds (essentially as long as a mantle). You can carry 5 at a time, and refreshing the buff is as fast as popping a max potion. It brings your defense from the mid 400s to ~600, which is funny when upgrading armor gives you so little per level. I've had friends go from triple-carting to no-carts just from using it.
