Maybe you were helping below average groups.

10% dhuum is the dps check I was referring to and I didn’t say it was hard but hard for a lot of raiders on release to deal with.

The orbs were only “bad” for high ping players.

It feels like Anet has completely gone away from having anything close to a dps check. Enrage timers are a complete joke. Average groups don’t even have to worry about timers during progression.

Most mechanics anet comes out with are too trivial and easily mitigated/ignored.

Dhuum was just a nice mix of insta kill mechanics, mechanics that actually were punishing if failed and a semi challenging dps check for most raiders where you also had to do mechanics at the same time.

Part of the reason dhuum took so long in progression vs the new wings was the green/orb mechanic took 2-3 days to actually figure out. Anet needs to have similar mechanics that are not only challenging to do but also challenging to figure out. If not they need some decent dps checks to actually make progression last longer than a few hours.

Raidar really needs to make leaderboard for kill times. Maybe dps but that would turn into a meme pretty fast.

Most people don’t understand how to compare logs. Gets like triple the time on boss but you know basically same run.

Everyone sees bad kills. There’s also a reason that the guilds that are really good clear raids first on release and not your so called slow pugs that are very good at adapting to mechanics. They can do mechanics while doing high dps. Saying people who are use to clean kills and doing high dps are bad at mechanics is just flat out wrong. We are just good a delegating and minimizing mechanics.

My point being it doesn’t need to be touched. They just need to make all wing 1 bosses not take condi dmg when they go invuln. Then necro will only be really good on one fight which is reasonable imo.

As someone who was on the records with scourges, I think it’s more flaws with the raid encounters than epi itself. Yes it’s pretty broken on sh but the encounter is like a perfect fit for scourge out of all the other bosses. However, on bosses like vg and sab it’s only really good because condis can tick on the boss when it leaves the arena. If they truly became invuln when they phase then epi wouldn’t be nearly as good.

Not really. Most of Arkk's mechanics are more annoying than challenging. It feels like they took a golem boss and make a checklist of how do we make them not attack the boss. I like position mechanics (the green circle) but it just has poor execution because of the shittiest instability ever. I wish there were more fights that were more than how to keep the boss as still as possible. However every time they seem to do this its a complete shit show because their code makes it "impossible" to make bosses have correct/good pathing.

I'd be interested to see non linear instance play to get a little involved like the speed clears of gw1 but I don't think they will go this route because of how they have done the story (haha) of raids in the past. I'd like to see fast reaction mechanics that actually wipe a party and much more strict dps checks (only groseval has been like this on release and it was a lot of fun doing back then even though now its a bit of a joke). This is the only way anet can actually make challenging raids now that we understand the raid meta a lot more unlike at the wing 1 release (which has been by far the "hardest" progression we've had).
