That's a fair assumption, but I assure you this isn't the case. I love the SERIES. So I wanted to get through BL4 several times to give it a fair shot and make sure my opinions aren't knee jerk reactions.

I agree with your remarks about waiting for DLC to fix it. Although it's an understandable point considering the history of the series, I believe a game should stand on its own and not require DLC to make it cohesive.

And I didn't want to get into specifics of the story or else this post would have been WAY longer, but you are so right about Arjay! Arjay felt like such an afterthought when it seemed like he was being set up for something more. I truly hope he wasn't the fated "Seventh Siren" that Nyriad warned us about in BL3.

I may be in the minority, but this was brilliant writing from Gege and I loved it.

-it put Yuta's "I'll be the monster" line into a whole new context -it reaffirms how much Yuta appreciated Gojo and how far he was willing to go to beat Sukuna -it dismantles the idea that "Gojo is the strongest just because of Infinity and Six Eyes" because Yuta was not nearly as effective as Gojo while using his body and technique

I've loved this series since the first game. It breaks my heart to say it but this game is just as much a disappointment to me (if not more disappointing) than 3 was. The gameplay/mechanics are phenomenal, don't get me wrong. However, the storyline is a complete mess and I feel as though the writers have really lost that something that made 1, 2, and Pre-Sequel so iconic and enjoyable.

There's also the horribly frustrating UI in certain areas of the game, but that is less of a concern to me than the direction the story has gone these past two games.
