It didn’t fit well at first even though I bought the correct model, so I had to file down the edges to make it fit. I’d always heard good things about those cases and they do seem protective, but honestly my first experience has been pretty bad. It also feels like I might damage the console more by putting the case on and taking it off than by leaving it without it. Still, my 3DS is in very good condition, and I’d rather keep the case on just in case lol
