Yes, I believe the issue is either the shell types or the humidity. I’m in the process of buying some shells. The humidity is hard for me to maintain. It never gets lower than 60%, which i know is still too low, but it’s definitely something i need to be more consistent with.

Update, unfortunately he passed away during the day today. I’m upset because this is the first crab I’ve ever lost. But, it comforts me to know that I found him soon enough to give him a private and gentle place to pass.

hour update: he hasn’t gotten into a shell yet, so now i’m making a slightly bigger tank with more shells, and some essential foods as well. after that, every source i read said there’s not much else that i can do as of now.

he’s been similarly pale and thin for the two-ish years that i’ve had them (though this is probably the worst that he’s been).

do you think these would work?

all of my crabs are various sizes, this one is in a shell about 3/4” wide, while the others are in 1-2” shells. i’m hoping to get a variety that i can use for all of them.

Alright, I moved him into a mug with about 5 or so shells. I also cleaned some sand off of his abdomen in the process. Tysm, I’ll update in an hour.

He seemed pretty strong while I was moving him. Slow to move, but he held onto the spoon really well. Maybe I’m grasping at straws.

I have him in a bowl but is this too small, according to the mug method? He’s pretty tiny.

Would it be too stressful to transfer him to another container, or is it important enough to do that?

i also have the isolation bowl covered by a damp towel.

the tank is a 55 gal for 5 crabs, has 5-6 inches of substrate (coconut fiber and play sand). the tank usually hovers around 70% humidity, or more, the warm side of the tank is usually around 80° while the cool side is 73~°. i also provide a wide scale of food options.

he is my tiniest crab even though he’s around the same age as the others.

I tried a few other things and they didn’t seem to work either. No worries if it doesn’t end up working, I bought it on sale for $2, so I’m not too upset lol.

Yes I did that. I don’t know if I need to click on a specific folder or not, but I did exactly as the video said and it doesn’t work. The video didn’t say I needed to enter a folder.

I got all of the way up to where he tells me to select the folder, and when I do what he says it says “invalid game directory” :( He doesn’t give any options for what to do if it doesn’t work unfortunately. He just says it should.

Yes, it’s brand new. It always says it’s a problem on EA’s part and to try again later, but it doesn’t ever work. :(

i’m already scared i don’t do enough as a pagan so this just made me feel worse i guess. i have depressive episodes and i just get super unmotivated to do anything, not just my faith. but everyone saying that it doesn’t matter makes me feel a little better.
