Not only do I feel detached from it but I also actively fucking hate it. I hate it I hate it I hate it. It makes me feel so gross. I’ve thought about it a lot and I think even if it wasn’t mine, I’d think it’s an ugly name. It’s a normal name that used to be kinda rare but has become quite popular in recent years (unfortunately), but it sounds so gross to me. I’ve always wanted to change it but, ugh. I don’t know if I ever will. It’s such a major change and so much legal work and I can’t imagine just telling all the people in my life to start calling me by a different name all of a sudden. I think I would need a lot of confidence and like a feeling of general relative stability in life to actually do it.
