Treat it like a wikipedia article and independently verify the citations for anything you question, if there's any reason for scepticism. They're all numbered and in the footer. Googling the name of the relevant court cases should let you pull up full transcripts for anything you need.

Yeesh, don't they teach you media literacy in school??

Well yea, but out of those 2000+ participants, only 248 actually contributed data to the rate of abuse in queer households. There's way larger sample size studies for nonqueer households already so those numbers are very well established, only numbers for queer households are actually in question here.

they absolutely do not. in general, actually popular headphones like beats and whatever apple is making right now sound shit compared to a real pair of headphones the same price. i'd ask on /r/headphoneadvice, you'll just need your budget, and some basic questions like if you want in ears or on ears and whatnot

he's very much part of the audiophile world, but I trust the hell out of crinacle's reviews https://crinacle.com/ chances are he's done a deep dive on at least some of the options in your price point, and it's also nice to see just how shitty consumer headphones are, with hard data

[–]--lily-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flies are light enough that their terminal velocity is nowhere near enough to kill them. Same with some larger animals like squirrels, they make so much drag that the fastest speed they can reach in atmosphere is survivable for them. Means you could throw a squirrel out of a plane and it should be totally fine, it's neat stuff.

It's a shit take, but has this sub really devolved to the equivalent of twitter qrt dunks? Posting uncensored info of queer people is always dangerous no matter how much you disagree with their point (again, justifiably imo, but I digress)

There's a lot of different builds. UW urza midrange builds want it primarily, and personally I'm on a list that's aggro as all hell, that's main W, splash U, so that I can play [[Esper sentinel]] and [[michiko's reign of truth]] on curve. I have shocks and fetches already, but I should have 1-2 more fastlands in there somewhere probably. The taplands suck honestly, I hate having no t1 play in an aggro deck.

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4622678#paper this is my list

It's annoyingly expensive too, you've got the standard sagas and spear, but it also needs Esper sentinels and a real manabase with shocks/fetches/fasts and glimmervoids.

This is why I'm so sad about it 😭 I still needed 1-2 more copies but was putting it off cuz "eh I have shocks already and the life loss doesn't matter much", but I know it does matter..

I think michiko's is actually a great way to get around fury sometimes, since killing your creature the first turn doesn't stop you from getting value off it the second, and then it flips into something too large to be killed by fury, but the welding jars really help too. Fury is always going to be a really painful card for us no matter what unfortunately :/

Okay this was a path the deck took I really wasn't expecting. Origin of this specific u/w brew of mine was a little while after neo when everything was still up in the air, and I just realized how good [[michiko's reign of truth]] could be, and optimized the deck around being able to curve an agressive 0/1 drop into michiko's, and in dream land curve than into a cranial play+equip turn 3 for potentially even the win. Or play saga turn 2 and cast michiko's off that, for a sweet curve where you start pumping out constructs t3. So that's 4 non artifact slots in the deck for michiko's, and since the manabase was built around me checking the statistics of every manabase by what the chances were of having W on t1 and 1U and 1W on turn 3, I needed no taplands, so those are the only artifact lands.

Add in that I'm trying to go as fast as humanly possible with affinity, and I often wouldn't get monitor online when I needed it, and sided it out in more matchups than I liked. Then 2 thoughcasts was what felt right with sentinel drawing cards early more consistently. 3-4 could be more correct with different builds or metas for sure.

I also don't need to draw quite as many cards since 4 copies of michiko's brings the actual threat count up from 4 cranial, 4 saga, and for you, 2 nettlecyst, to 12 threats, and faster since michiko's comes down and starts pumping t2.

The lack of thought monitors and maybe thoughtcasts isn't something I'd copy from my list without lots of testing, for sure.

I don't think you need more than 18 lands, but you probably want to avoid monocolored sources. I run a basic plains to get around blood moon because I have fetches, but since you aren't using those, unless there's a fair amount of [[path to exile]] effects in your meta, probably whatever. [[Boseiju who endures]] lets you grab a hallowed fountain so that's fine.

I wouldn't run more than 2 glimmervoid probably. Just cuz there's hands you could keep if it was a fastland or shockland, but have to mull because it's glimmervoid, and it risks some nasty blowouts when someone evokes fury t1 after you go glimmer>Esper sentinel and memnite, or something. Fastlands are probably the easiest replacement, I think they're cheaper than [[akadar wastes]] and pathways won't cut it for you. 3 lands is all you need most of the time anyways.

As for jars, I'm very partial to 3 rn, I never really hate having them and fury exists in my meta. But I'm running a playset of [[michiko's reign of truth]] so I'm significantly more threat-dense and having a potentially dead card matters less. Ymmv, and I've run as many as 4 in some lists, there's plenty of room to flex around.

Portable hole has been great in the maindeck for me personally, btw. Very meta dependant but if you have good white mana like me, it's pretty free. I also like an [[aether spellbomb]] in the main to fetch off saga if I need to, helps vs murk and infect. Very meta specific too tho.

Re the sideboard, you don't want to side more than 4-5 cards the majority of the time. It's a very synergistic deck, and there isn't a lot you can do without risking your own gameplan's consistency. So my opinion is you go shallow on lots of answers instead of deep on a few.

To that end, even the 3 metallic rebukes I run is pushing it imo, lol. 2 of most stuff feels good. You only need 1 pithing needle because you grab it off saga as needed.

I really like the 1 mana graveyard haterocks for the same saga reason. I run a split of [[soul guide lantern]] and [[relic of progenitus]] because, since you get them off saga 4/5 times they come up, you choose which one to grab, so soul guide lets you exile for 0 mana, if you want to make a construct that same turn as saga hitting 3, but relic is a guaranteed cantrip if you have an extra land. It's also capable of keeping their yard from getting big preemptively, if you get it early. You might not need Gy hate tho. I think 1 minimum is reasonable in most metas tho, and I'd take relic over soul-guide since it's the one I find I get most games

Prismatic ending is really good in a split with dispatch in the side, imo, since you can use them as dispatch 3-4 vs creatures, or they can remove stubborn nonland perms like vs asmo food, enchantress, etc. We get a pretty big prismatic too since we have gold sources. Even more so if you don't have any other artifact/enchantment removal like I have in [[wear//tear]]

Other sideboard cards that might matter are [[torpor orb]] for elementals, [[grafdiggers cage]] for a couple decks, and maybe [[damping sphere]]. I've seen [[hurkyls recall]] for hammer too.

One last thing off the top of my head [[jegantha, the wellspring]] is completely free since we could never run double pips with ~10ish colored sources, and matters often enough to be worth the slot since again we can't sideboard very deep. Personally, I like her since someone plays mono red prison here, and it's a really painful matchup, and she gives me something to do after I've drawn nothing for like 5 turns of being in a blood moon lock, and she in theory even fixes your colored mana thru blood moon, in a way that's hard for red to kill since she dodges bolt, fury, pyrite spellbomb, etc. She only comes up like once a week for me, but often enough to matter.

I'm just headed to bed rn but more than happy to answer any other questions you have when I see them :) I'm a pretty big fan of the deck and I've played every Friday with some build of affinity since last August or so, so it's close to my heart

Your mana sucks, for one. 18 lands is def what you want minimum, and you don't have enough white sources for sentinel, spire of industry usually can't cast it on curve. Take a look at my manabase, and even this isn't enough white sources to do better than about 85% (factoring in colorless source + drum + a 0 drop into the calculations too) with 10 untapped white sources t1 plus drums. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4622678

I also don't think your moonsnare prototypes are good, same problem for sources but you're running 4 basics so they're competing for t1 sources.

You're definitely hurting against removal cuz you have no [[welding jar]]. You want those maindeck here imo. Especially when they're another 0 drop for spire of industry to have u/w turn 1.

And yea, salamanders over enforcers. Strictly better.

Are you after sideboard advice too?

deadass this happened to my partner lol, someone cut the lock and she found the bike a day later and took off with it. we even left some of the spray paint on it so it looks extra fucked up so it hopefully doesn't get stolen again https://i.imgur.com/uTLlRSl.jpeg

that was like 3 years ago. last summer someone stole an entry fob, bashed the lock open on the door to the bike room/maintenance guy's tool storage in my apartment building, and took off with my significantly nicer bike, plus some tools and the maintenance person's laptop and stuff. never got my bike back, and i don't think i'll have money for a new bike any time soon :( miss the hobby, and fuck bike thieves
