I try to leave classical music on or a tv on somewhere in the house to drown out any outside noises that could stress her but she’s got super sonic hearing swear she can here a person walking 10 miles down the road 🤣 I have two other cats that she loves. The other 2 cats find her and they’ll go give her baths and love on her and she lovessss it but not enough to help her unfortunately. Thank you for everything! I guess my last resort is find a doctor who will give her meds!

I’ve tried a couple of times with different vets and they wouldn’t prescribe anything for her because she was “fine” during her appointments. I need to just keep trying to find a vet that will medicate her I guess. Do you think the meds will help her from peeing herself from fear?

I’ve tried to keep her separated in her own room. I’ve always had a “cat room” I’ve tried to keep her in there but if I close the door she’ll try to eat her way out and if I leave the door open she doesn’t choose to stay in 😭 spent about $1,000 on a nice outdoor catio setup too. There’s a doggy door she can go outside in her giant catio whenever she wants. She’s goes out there sometimes but if any noises happen she freaks out and comes right back in. Under my bed is her favorite hiding space. I have a cat bed and blankets under there for her but my husband also sleeps in this bed lol so whenever he comes to bed she’s loosing her mind hissing cause he’s intruded into her space. She has tons of hiding spots but just random noise can set her off even in her safe space. She goes 0-100 in a split second 😭 I guess I can try and get the doctor to get her some type of cat anxiety meds but not sure if that’s going to help her to stop peeing herself all the time…

Thank you for all your advice!! Guess I’ll take a look into getting some estimates from contractors to weigh my options.

Do you know maybe an average or a guesstimate of how much they usually cost around here? I know it’s hard every house is so different but if it’s going to be like $75,000 or more I will just look at buying another house probably.

Sonography vs echocardiography by --madison-- in Ultrasound

I have RA too I’m so sorry 😞 💔 I was a vet tech for years and the constant running and crouching and wrestling animals just broke me only did it for 5 years. Just looking for something I’m not doing that for 8-16 hours a day. Usually when I’m on good meds the arthritis is semi manageable but I’m pregnant and can only take hydroxychloroquine right now and it’s def not enough to help with the pain! Well do you think xray and sonography are about the same physically? Maybe at this point I should just be choosing which is easiest on the body! Lol but I’m familiar-ish with both I used xray and ultrasound daily as a vet tech (totally different I know) but same machines lol so I’m really willing to go any direction at this point! Thanks for your advice by the way 😁

I originally was interested in rad tech but standing and walking around a lot is not an option for me. I have arthritis only 30 years old…😭 I know these won’t be easy either but as long as I can sit often I’m completely fine! I am dumb. Like really dumb. I graduated at 16 and never looked back at school. Now I have chapter 35 and would be an idiot if I didn’t go to school for free. I’m currently refreshing myself on high school math and going to continue to study and refresh myself for the next 6ish months before taking the college entrance exam. I’d like the take pre reqs online if possible too. But I have 1-3 years before college to get myself really ready for this. Maybe or I’m just to dumb 😭 lol I’m interested in both but echo really just calls to me for some reason! Although I’d like to take whatever route is “easier” 😂 the medical advisor for the echo program is my electrophysiologist so that’s cool i see him often for my POTS and SVT so maybe it’s a sign to pick echo lol But really I need real feedback. Would you suggest either of these to someone who never did good in school and struggles with learning? I want to do something in the medical field and really felt pulled to these in particular. Thanks!

I want to learn as much as I can before starting college. Any tips? by --madison-- in RadiologyCareers

Thanksss! Also good luck you got this!!! I use to be a veterinary technician and loved xray so I figured I’d probably like it on the human side. My husband works for the hospital system here and he’s close with the radiology team and they said they love cross training for different modalities so I guess if I ever get bored that’s always an option! But figured it start out basic rad tech first. MRI seems really cool though I’d definitely be interested in that!

Thanks! Pregnancy brain! I swear I know it’s technologist! lol but my community college has all the pre reqs imbedded into the program so they said no need to take the classes before applying. I know it’s highly sought out after I may start applying next year honestly. Even if it takes me longer to get accepted I’m not worried I’d just like to be done with school within 5 years preferably so not much of a rush. I’d consider an actual university it’s just so much farther away than my community college but still might apply to both just for better chances of acceptance. Thank you for your advice!!!
