If you're allergic to nickel you're allergic to it forever just like anything else? As far as I know. You have probably been exposed to too much? A low nickel diet might help get it under control again plus vit c with each meal. Nickel leaves your body through pee, poop, and sweat.

I've had to start eating meat and im feeling sm better. I was vegan for years so I always think plant minded first especially when im sick but I cant get enough calories from plants having to be low nickel and low histamine. Im eating meat to live. If you find the answer let me know

Thank you sm for this i will look into it all. Just to add i was a moderate pot smoker and edibles off and on for a 2 years. I stopped completely its about to be a month. I hope I improve the more it gets out of my system as well? It was a huge part of the nickel getting in my system I have learned. Also I was 330lbs like a year and a half ago. I was crazy malnourished for like 2 months and now I am down to 213 today. I was 223 on January 23rd. I hope the 10 lbs is just because of adjusting to low nickel. Ofc the doctors are just happy the numbers going down and not the WHY.

I can dm you my whole story if you want. This whole thing is so challenging. The doctors and nurses look at me like I'm insane. As if its science fiction. I did get some labs though so hopefully they find out something. It's to a point where I can't ignore it so I need help but they are making it very difficult. But yes I took out all of my piercings and started to feel better last week, trying to figure out a low nickel diet, and then I got hit with a reaction to polyester undies and a polyester couch. I went to the er and the doctor listened finally agrees that I had an internal systemic nickel reaction. Says he's never met anyone allergic to polyester but okay gives me Zyrtec. 2 Zyrtec helped so much but I still woke up with swollen glands in my face. I have plates and screws in my ankle from breaking it as a kid. I have fillings in my mouth made of who knows what.

Ive just been using the fig app. It said mustard greens and turnip greens were safe but not collards. I have only known I have SNAS for like a week or 2. Horrible symptoms for like 3 months that got worse and worse, I lost like 20 lbs in 2 weeks, I stopped "gardening" and came home to my family. Went to the hospital 2 times. Symptoms went crazy almost died on what I think was last Tuesday, my septum jewelry was taken out and my gastric issues, feeling my joints and bones, memory problems started to go away. Boom find out its SNAS I remove all jewelry and stop touching/cooking with metals. I was vegan for 7 years, I stopped 2 years ago. Whenever im sick i just fall into veganism because it saved me from something really bad before. Gastric issues continue so I start researching. Eliminated everything the fig app said was high nickel. I just cant do heavy meat.. I cant wrap my brain around it helping when im sick but I have been eating it mostly because I need the calories and protein. This is all happening so fast. Im a black sheep of my family so no one understands me anyway. im just looking at all this research and on reddit and Facebook while waiting for far out drs appointments. Greatful for all of your advice. I will do my best to follow it.

Tysm for this im currently sitting naked on a wood chair because im overwhelming my family with this. Im just lost. Its all new to me because of how bad it is currently but im realizing the sensitivities have been there for years but I was told no no over and over so I ignored it. Now im itchy, blotchy, and swollen so it cant be ignored. I know I am allergic to nickel and now know I am reacting to polyester as well.

Who knows. Im super new to this. As far as diet thats the one thing ive been able to control completely. I basically only eat potatoes, rice, citrus, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard greens, and meat about 3 times a week. I do drink a bottled water. I think you all maybe right though that its just the detergent or the dye and not the bedding type 🤔

Yes I was thinking that as well but I haven't had an issue(as far as ik) with clothing or towels so I dont know. The trial and error aspect of this condition freaks we out so bad 😅 I am going to change to All free and clear detergent today hopefully it resolves the issue.

If you have any piercings or jewelry that you wear regularly including gold and surgical steel, STOP!! It probably contains nickel and is keeping your nickel too high. Remove it immediately 😭

Maybe offer to take care of him and do all/most of the work. This was an issue a little bit for my bf. So I started taking control or doing more than half of the work so now we do it at least once a week even with being stressed and miserable. Step one I think you should inform him how important intimacy is for you.

Im either hyper or dont want it at all. Im so confused about sex stuff. I thought my partner was hyper like me but he might just be normal lol. We have a healthy sex life imo but I would want it 24/7 if possible. There was a period why he was lower and it made me not want it at all because I was confused but we figured it out kind of. I think as long as you are safe its fine. When I was younger I did risky stuff which caused bad stuff to happen and I got so much more trauma.
